VISION STATEMENT
To create a community supported by its residents, government agencies and laws, in which all owned,
homeless and feral cats are protected and given the chance at a quality of life through access to
affordable medical care, low-cost spay and neuter services, food, shelter and adoption opportunities.
WHY VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
Volunteer time and talents are an asset to the Naples Cat Alliance. There are many ways you can
make a difference for the welfare of animals. You may wish to work directly with the cats at our
shelter or you may get involved with other important aspects of our shelter s operations.

BECOMING A VOLUNTEER
Sign up to become Naples Cat Alliance volunteer, It’s easy! The minimum requirements to become a
NCA Volunteer are that you must:
• Be fourteen years of age or older. (Ages 14 -17 must train & volunteer with his or her parent,
who supervises the child at all times.)
• Fill out an application
• Attend a Volunteer Orientation Class
When we receive your completed application, you will be contacted with the schedule of our next available Volunteer
Orientation Classes. The 1 hour orientation class will help make you feel comfortable in your new role as a NCA
Volunteer and provide you with an overview of our cause, policies, volunteer opportunities and hands-on animal
handling instruction.

All new volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Application and attend a Volunteer Orientation. The minimum
age to volunteer is 14 years old. Children ages 14 to 17 have animal handling limitations and are required to volunteer
with a parent who will supervise the child. (Both parent and child are required to complete an application, attend the
volunteer training and volunteer together).

Waiver and Release of Liability, Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement
This waiver and release of liability, indemnification and hold harmless agreement is between the Volunteer and the Naples Cat Alliance, 7785 Davis Blvd. Suite
104, Naples, FL 34104 and its directors, officers, members, employees, agents, assigns, legal representatives and successors (hereinafter referred to as NCA).
As a volunteer that is 18 years old or older, I hereby understand and agree to the following: I agree to WAIVE and RELEASE the NCA from all liability, manner
of actions, causes of action, debts, contracts, claims and demands for or by reason of any illness, death, damage, loss or injury to person and property, which
has been or may be sustained as a direct or indirect consequence of the Volunteer s volunteering at or for the NCA and notwithstanding that such damage,
death, illness, loss or injury may have been caused partly by the negligence of the NCA. I agree to INDEMNIFY and HOLD HARMLESS the NCA for any costs or
liabilities which they may incur as a result of my volunteering at or for the NCA.
I acknowledge and agree that I have carefully read this Agreement, that I fully understand the same, and that I freely and voluntarily execute the same. I
understand that I may seek independent advice prior to signing this Agreement. I understand that this Agreement is binding on me, my spouse, my executors,
administrators, personal representatives and assigns and that this Agreement has important legal consequences.
