B. INTRODUCTION
The VID-TRANS70 is a wireless transmitter and receiver, using advanced wireless
communication technology to deliver audio and video up to 100 meters open area and 30
meters trough walls or floors. It transmit audio and video signals to a TV or VCR, without
additional coaxial cables.
The transmitter is equipped with a TV tuner and can be connected directly to the antenna
wall socket. The tuner can be programmed in a desired order of rank.
The transmitter converts the antenna signal into an audio/video signal. This signal will be
transmitted by the unit on a 2.4GHz frequency. The transmitter can be contolled with the
supplied remote control. The receiver is connected to the SCART of a TV or VCR.
It also integrates an UHF remote control extender to control the audio/video source using
the existing remote controller.
General remarks
1. The 2.4GHz antenna of the transmitter and receiver are directional and must be aimed in
an imaginary line for optimal performance.
2. Always use the system with the 2.4GHz antennas in open position for ventilation of the
electronic circuits.
3. The quality of the signal depends on the circumstances of the environment where the
system is located.
4. In case of possible distortion, the quality will increase when the system is re-located.
The quality can already increase with re-locating the system a few centimeters.
5. A microwave oven operates also on 2.4GHz, so it’s possible to have temporary distortion
when using this kind of equipment.
6. For optimal performance of the IR extender it’s necessary to install the infrared sensors
precisly on the infrared sensor of the connected equipment.

F. CHANNEL SET UP
Automatic Channel Search
By using the automatic search method, all TV channels which are available on the cable
network will be stored in random order. In some areas it’s possible that the + and – channels
will be skipped. In this case these channels can be added with the fine tuning function.
Automatic search:
1. Turn the VID-TRANS70 on and a blue screen appears on the AV channel of the TV. Push
TV/AV button on the remote control for TV function. “TV” will appear in the blue screen.
For AV use push again and “AV” will apear in the blue screen.
2. Push SCAN on the remote control to start the scanning proces. “CHANNEL
SCANNING” appears and can take a few minutes. This proces will stop automatically and
the first found channel will be shown.
3. Push CH+ on the remote control to run through the channels to see what the found
channels.
Note: It’s possible that the system will show a blue screen for the channels which
are found but not strong enough to show. See DELETE CHANNELS for deleting
of these channels.
4. The channels which are so called + and – channels can be tuned with the FINE + and –
buttons on the remote control.
Delete channels:
1.
2.
3.
4.
Choose the channel which should be deleted.
Push the DEL button on the remote control.
“PRESS OK DEL” appears and push OK.
This channel is now delleted and will not be shown anymore.
Manual channel change:
This function gives the possiblity to program the found channels in a desired order.
1. Choose the channel which should be moved to another channel position.
2. Push the SOURCE button on the remote control and “SOURCE” appears.
3. Choose the new channel position.
4. Push the OBJECT button on the remote control and “PRESS OK EXC” appears.
5. Push the OK button and the channels will be changed.
Repeat these steps till every channel is in the desired position.
8
G. PERFORMANCE
For optimal performance it can be necessary to change the position of the transmitter and
receiver. In some cases a few centimeters will do. Objects which are between the imaginary
line of the transmitter and receiver can decrease the quality. If possible try to avoid these
objects. Also aim the antennas of the transmitter and receiver to each other in a imaginary line
to get the best picture quality.
Figure 6
H. USING THE IR EXTENDER
The IR extender makes it possible to control the connected equipment located on an other
position.
1. Connect the IR extender cable to the transmitter.
2. Place the IR sensors of the cable on the display of the connected component.
Note: Placing the sensor in front of the sensor from the component will increase
the functionality.
3. Aim the excisiting remote control at the receiver, located somewhere else, and the receiver
will send the signal to the transmitter which gives the signal to the connected component.
I. TROUBLESHOOTING
In case of any problems, please check all connections and read this manual again step by step
to avoid or solve any possible problem. Consult the dealer or an experienced technician for
help.
