This term children in year 6 will be continuing to develop a deeper understanding of core subject learning and wherever possible a cross-curricular approach will be taken to incorporate our geography and history topics. Suggestions for activities to support children’s learning at home:Visit the library and look for books that have information on water and Mayans. Search the internet for information about the water cycle and Mayan civilization. Record your water use in the home, discuss. Look at an atlas to see if you can find out about water distribution and the location of Mayan people. Note:- these are just a few suggestions and not all of the ideas need to be followed through although we would be delighted to see anything that children produce relating to the topics of the term.
