(BRS Lists 1-­4) Mathematics: (Stage 1-­2-­3) *Know ALL numbers in the range 0-­50 *Count forwards and backwards from ANY number in the range 0-­50 *Use mathematics vocabulary. E.g. in front of, behind, beside. *Add & subtract problems to 10 (3+ ? = 10, ? + 6 = 10) then up to 20. Year 2: What your child needs to achieve after 80 Weeks at School: Reading: (Level 17) *Read many high frequency words (list 5-­10) *Know about letters and other words to work out new words. (e.g. in/for/m) *Read silently by themselves. *Fix up their mistakes as they read. *Read with pace (like we talk) and expression. Writing: (Level 1A) *Create a plan to show their ideas for writing. *Write simple & compound sentences using connecting words such as ‘like, therefore, however, also.’ *Spell & use many high frequency words (BRS Lists 1-­

(Inference) *Talk about the meaning of the story and can relate my experiences to the story. Writing: (Level 2B) *Writes ideas and thoughts in simple sentences with different beginnings and lengths. *Organises ideas using a beginning, middle and end.
