Monroe County Solid Waste mulching was discontinued several
years ago due to limited demand, disease and contamination
concerns. Check with you local service provider (see other side
of brochure for phone numbers) to find out whether yard waste
is still being separated in your neighborhood. If you would like
to start your own food/yard waste composting project at home,
contact Extension Agent Kim Gabel at (305) 292-4501 or visit

earth, air and water.

Disposal / recycling is FREE FOR RESIDENTS.
(some limits and fees may apply)
Business waste is accepted for a fee.
BATTERIES: Car, Boat, Tool, and Household
are accepted at Transfer Stations/Recycling
Centers during regular hours!
