February 26, 2011, at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center
in Greensboro, NC.
Over lunch you are invited to an optional seminar on “Meaningful
Use of EHR,” presented by Margie Satinsky, MA, MBA, President
of Satinsky Consulting, a medical practice consulting firm. This
presentation is supported by a grant from MAG Mutual Insurance
Company.
The other lunch option, designed for practice managers, will be
a round table discussion on collections and billing issues, led
by Cheryl Fatzinger, CMA, MBA, member of the Academy of the
AAO-HNS Core Otolaryngology Practice Management Committee
and former NC representative to the Association of Otolaryngology
Administrators.

Coding Seminar Details
Activity Description
This seminar is designed for otolaryngology physicians and their office
staff and will give best practices and crucial updates in otolaryngology
office financial management, documentation, coding and reimbursement
for 2011. Increased understanding of these issues will assist participants
in not only compliantly optimizing practice income, but insuring compliant
documentation and coding consistent with authoritative sources such as
the AMA, CMS and the AAO/HNS.

About the Instructor
Teresa Thompson, BS, Certified Professional Coder, Certified MultiSpecialty Coding Specialist and Certified Compliance Consultant is the
owner and principal of TM Consulting, a national medical consulting
and management firm that specializes in coding, compliance,
education, and other services. She specializes in otolaryngology,
allergy, pulmonary and other respiratory diseases, and has over
two decades of experience as a practice manager and associate
professor in healthcare topics. She has over fifteen years experience
as a consultant and lecturer for over 20 associations, including the
Association of Otolaryngology Administrators; American Academy
of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; American College of Allergy
and Asthma; American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy; American
Academy of Otolaryngologic Osteopathic Physicians; American
College of Chest Physicians; and American Academy of Professional
Coders.
