5. Northern Caribbean University Church
I will work very closely with the pastor and the university church to build a stronger
relationship with students.
6. Open day for Community folk!
I believe that Proverbs 14:34 is the text of stark relevance in Jamaica today; hence, I join with
the speaker for Research week 2017 in a call for a certain voice and a decided stance against
all forms of unrighteousness in Jamaica. I believe that stance will be more impactful if NCU
joins or leads it. However, by capturing the concept of national involvement for the stemming
of the tide of immorality and lawlessness, I will, from the office of VP of Spiritual Affairs
start the process. My sector, along with collaboration from other interested parties, will host
our community members on our campus! My team and I will be responsible for organizing a
Mega Prayer Convention once per month and we will lead the community members in
prayer. Security personnel will also be a part of it and other denominations as well. It will run
from 6-7 am on a Wednesday. Be it first, second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month
(depending on the feasibility) Something light will be provided for breakfast for our
community members who attend.
Our Friends!
This is going to be a blast. No stone will be unturned, no effort unspent until this happens,
until what happens preacher? Here goes: My team and I will invite different Adventist groups
as well as non-Adventist outreach groups to be a part of a grand weekend program. Churches
will be invited to share in or lead our vespers program from the Friday evening. Advent
Fellowship, of UWI and UTech will be invited to share in the Sabbath school and divine
service, AY STRORM, from Montego Bay will be welcomed to do our AY and social, and
will stay over for a grand Sunday morning breakfast, concert style, in the cafeteria! It will be.
Private prayer chamber!
This will facilitate individuals who want to meet whichever hour in the day to just come and
pray. The idea is, there are many folks who do not wish to be public as in the Prayer Garden
Noon day gathering. Therefore, we will work on the beautification of and the creation of an
inviting ambiance in the prayer room in Cedar Hall and make it available to anyone who
wishes to come for private prayer.
