Straits
Definition
A strait is a narrow body of water that connects two larger bodies of water. It can also be defined as a
narrow body of water that separates two land masses. Straits have often been strategically important.
Many famous naval battles have been fought for control of straits. Straits are also important
passageways for transportation and travel.
Activity
