Membership Application
NZPPI is a voluntary membership body working hard to advance the interests of those in or whom have an interest in,
the plant producer industry. If you’d like to join and work with us and other members in an industry body with a
strong and influential voice that delivers value to member businesses we’d like to hear from you.
Membership Types
Producer Member Class – Applications are invited from a person, business or entity engaged in producing plants or
parts of plants for and or supplied to:
 Retail
 Landscape, amenity and revegetation
 Orchards and vineyards
 Forestry
 Food production
 Other plant producers
Applications must be supported by an existing Producer Member (a nominator) who must also sign this
application form. If you need assistance meeting this requirement, please contact the NZPPI office.
Industry Partner Member Class – Applications are invited from any other person, business or entity with an interest
in the objectives of NZPPI, an interest in working with members of NZPPI and/or are part of the plant
producer supply chain – for example retailers, landscapers, businesses who supply industry members.
Overseas based members fall into this membership class.
Student Member Class is also available. Please contact us for details.
Contracting Parties – We also have provision for where a producer is precluded from membership by conscience or
religion. Please contact us for details if this applies to you.
Subscription Fees
Producers – 0.3% of relevant turnover based upon a validated producer declaration for a member’s most recently
completed financial year prior to or at 31 March in each year. Relevant turnover is defined as gross income derived
from the sale of plants produced in New Zealand inclusive of all charges, excluding royalties and GST, that a
purchaser would pay. Where a member supplies plants to another part of their business, relevant turnover is the
wholesale value of gross income supported by an identifiable and discrete transfer value. Minimum fee $350+GST.
Industry Partners – fees are based upon turnover bands for nursery and garden industry products and services.

To protect confidentiality, membership fees are paid to an Independent Subscription Agent (ISA). All fees are plus GST.
Please do not send payment with this application. Upon acceptance of your application we will send you a form for
completion and sending on to the ISA complete with your payment or automatic payment form.
