PROFESSOR PENGUIN’S
JOURNEY TO THE POLES

Part 1
rofessor Penguin loved nature. He had just taken an airplane for a long
trip to the North Pole and then to the South Pole.
When he got to the North Pole, he saw some little black and white birds.
“Wonderful!” he said. “It’s not every day you get to see members of the auk
family flying around!”
Suddenly… (Continue the story, with animals from the Arctic.)

JOURNEY TO THE POLES
Part 2
And then he was off to the South Pole!
When he got to the Antarctic, Professor Gorfou stepped down from the
plane. Through the frost on his glasses, he could see some birds. They were
too big to fly, and were walking in a funny way.
“More auks!,” the pilot of the plane exclaimed.
“Not at all,” replied the Professor. “These ones aren’t auks, because they
can’t fly. They’re penguins.”
Suddenly… (Finish the story, with animals from the Antarctic.)
