Your source for all things Blue Lake School for the Month of March! HELP US BUILD BETTER ATTENDANCE HABITS! Did you know that too many absences can cause children to fall behind in school? Studies have shown that missing just 10% of school days is directly linked to difficulty reading. Attending school helps children feel better about school and about themselves! You can help by doing your best to get your student to class on time every day: by setting a regular bedtime, preparing for the morning the night before, and making sure that your student only stays home if they are really and truly sick. Blue Lake School would like to increase our attendance rates next year. Please help us meet this goal! 2016-17 SPELLING BEE WINNERS! When it is Spring here, it’s Fall in the Southern Hemisphere! The season of Spring begins when the Earth’s axis is not tilted toward or away from the sun, and the sun rises just above the Earth’s equator. The first day of Spring is called the Vernal Equinox, and on this day sunrise and sunset are about 12 hours apart. Look for sunshine, new flowers, green leaves and grass in this season of renewal!
