MORNING PRACTICE
FOR CHARISMA
C U LT I V AT I O N
MODULE 2: MORNING PRACTICE
FOR CHARISMA CULTIVATION
Action Items:
1. Do a morning practice every day that fills you with life
force. Recommendation: Do the CHARISMA BREATH
PRACTICE taught by video in this module + Gratitude
Practice each morning upon waking for 21 days straight.
Neuroscientists estimate that it takes approximately 21
days to develop new neural pathways in your brain. If you
perform the Charisma Breath Practice + Gratitude Practice
for 21 mornings in a row, it will rewire a neural pathway
(patterned habit) in your brain, forming a new base-level of
life force in your body. Once that happens, you will literally
crave this new level of life force when you wake. Life force
and charisma go hand and hand. Prime your day for easier
and better connections with your Charisma Breath Practice
and Gratitude Practice. After the 21-days, check-in to see if
you need to modify this morning practice to make it truly
your own. Maybe add pushups, singing or time on your
elliptical machine?

2. At the end of each Charisma Breath Practice begin your
GRATITUDE PRACTICE: search your life for 3 things
you’re grateful for.

MODULE 3:
EVENING PRACTICE
FOR THE #1 NON-VERBAL
COMMUNICATION SECRET
What’s the #1 Non-Verbal Communication Secret?
Feel!
Action Items:
Building on your new morning breath practice, the following
will anchor you in a whole new way of using your feelings to
communicate effectively instead of hiding them and loosing out
on the incredible social currency, whole-hearted feeling expressions can bring.
1. Working with Uncomfortable Feelings
(PRIMER): The Body Scan
I recommend doing this practice every night before going
to sleep. Great to calm down your nervous system and settle
you while developing your ability to feel. Place your attention
throughout your entire body, part by part, feeling for where the
energy is flowing and feeling for where it feels uncomfortable and
stuck or more deadened as opposed to vital. What do you notice?
12 | “Unlock Your Charisma Code” Workbook Action Guide
Working with Uncomfortable Feelings:
Use the following practice any time you start to notice an
uncomfortable feeling arising in you. First: Do a Body Scan as
described above and in the Charisma Boost Audios in the Bonus
section of this Course. Pay specific attention to the 3 areas of
your body that we breathed into during our Charisma Breathe
Practice. Heart and chest (this area of our body often stores
the uncomfortable feelings of longing, exhaustion and grief),
stomach (fear, anxiety), shoulders and neck (anger). What do
you feel in those three areas? Place gentle, non-judgmental attention on the sensation. Now watch the uncomfortable sensations
dissipate through your kind attention. If you’re in a private environment or with someone close to you whom you trust, say out
loud how you feel: example: “I feel scared about asking my boss
for a promotion.” Emotions need much less attention then we
think. In a healthy state, they come and go rather quickly—think
of a child who feels one thing one moment and then once that
passes they feel a new thing the next—bring a sense of play to
your inner feeling world. Explore! Allow yourself to feel one way
one moment and another the next. The trick with the uncomfortable feelings is to address them directly. They will dissipate
but they need to be addressed—through your body.
Make a list of the “trusted, safe people” in your life. The people
you can share your uncomfortable feelings with.
Module 3 | 13
2. The Worry Obliterator: Use “What if…”
(Page 18 in The Charisma Code)
Write down your worries using questions that begin with “what
if ”. Answer each what if worry question with another question
that begins with “what if ” but imagine the opposite outcome.
In this practice you are transforming “worry into wonder!”
(A phrase I love and learned from the Psychologist Dr. Gay
Hendricks.) You are simply opening your mind to the possibility
that things may be completely different than the worst case situation you have been playing over and over again in your mind.
Ex. The Worry: What if she’s cheating on me?
The Reverse of the Worry: What if she’s being completely
loyal to me?
Your Turn:
A. Your Worry: What if…
The Reverse of your Worry: What if…
B. Your Worry: What if…
The Reverse of your Worry: What if…
Complete your Worry Obliterator Practice by spending one
whole minute thinking about what you’re grateful for...and
remember to allow yourself to FEEL the resulting gratitude that
will come from thinking about it.
*Module #3 Bonus Points*:
Keep track of how many times you catch a strong emotional
sensation in your body through the day. Maybe an exalted feeling
of love or anger or longing or sadness or anxiety or worry or
14 | “Unlock Your Charisma Code” Workbook Action Guide
joy or excitement…? Make it a priority to stop and feel instead
of stuff the emotion. Be loving with what you feel and don’t
be scared to go deep. The deeper you go, the more emotional
connection currency you will have available to spend on your
relationships.

MODULE 4: SPEAK TO ENGAGE
Action Items:
FIELD TRIP #1 VOICE: Begin to understand the engaging
tonal language beyond words by going to a place where a
language that’s not your own is spoken. Listen for the melodies and tone, listen to “monkey” language—or simply watch a
foreign movie and listen for the melodies, tones and dynamic
“monkey language” of the humans speaking.
FIELD TRIP #2 BODY LANGUAGE: Practice Body Language
that shows you know your value, consequently changing your
body chemistry to reflect that of a leader, by dressing up as your
favorite superhero and attending a comic convention.
FIELD TRIP #2 (BL_HOME PRACTICE): Practice Amy
Cuddy’s research (Pg. 91 in The Charisma Code) by assuming a
high power pose for 2 minutes a day. Stand like Wonder Woman
or Bat Man in the comfort of your own home.
RISK TOUCHING ANOTHER: (Reference page 92 in The
Charisma Code)
Touch increases the likelihood that people will do what you
request. Touch results in the strengthening of social bonds, trust,
and a greater propensity to collaborate.
18 | “Unlock Your Charisma Code” Workbook Action Guide
One trinity of actions you can take daily, should you wish to
enhance the engagement level of your communication:
1. Assume a posture that shows you know your value;
2. Show your value by confidently using touch to communicate your trustworthiness, goodwill, and desire to
connect and;
3. Be Dynamic by allowing your body language and tone
of voice to be informed by your feelings. Mix up your
Charisma Type non-verbal expressions depending on
what the moment calls for.
REFERENCE: The Charisma Types Body
Language Map:
You are actually a combo of all the types, but here is an overview
of how each personal charisma type often expresses itself using
body language. Practice mixing it up to boost your engagement!
GREEN’s body language is intense but not overly big—with
piercing eyes—deep presence—and an incredible
ability to listen. They are tenacious; their bodies’
show this by carrying a solid frame.
BLUE’s generally have rhythm and are highly engaging
and charming by nature, not by effort. Their body
language is understated but effective.
RED’s are the biggest users of large and direct body
language, second only to Italians and some eccentric Orange Types. ;-)
GOLD’s are very refined in their gestures and body language.
Because of their high levels of empathy, they are
excellent mirrors, meaning they often copy the body
language of the people they’re connecting with.
Module 4 | 19
ORANGE’s have eccentric body language. Expect to see use
of body language like you’ve never seen it before--sometimes appealing to your senses and sometimes not.

MODULE 5: COLLABORATE
WITH PEOPLE DIFFERENT
THAN YOURSELF
Action Steps:
Practice the following “Connect with Anyone, Anywhere 3 –step
Formula” when you meet someone who doesn’t speak the same
language as you or who comes from a very different culture:
STEP ONE: Become Curious (Turn Resistance
into Wonder)
What follows is as true for the individual as it is for the company,
“If you’re not learning, you’re dying.”
STEP TWO: Use Your Language Beyond Words!
The more non-verbals you can throw into your communication, the easier it is for a real conversation to occur between
people very different than each other. Practice using more body
language, various tones, amplified energy, and more gestures.
STEP THREE: Develop Empathy by “mirroring”
the person you are seeking to connect with.
Watch and model their body language, tone, energy, gestures
and whatever else you can “try on.”
22 | “Unlock Your Charisma Code” Workbook Action Guide
What Do You Notice?
In the left hand column, write a name or description of someone
you mirrored then briefly describe your experience about the
encounter. Do this with three different people over the course of
the next week.
Example:
1.Scott:
Scott’s body language and tone opened up and
got warmer when the attention went off of him
and onto me. He crossed his arms and became
rigid when the attention was on him

As a means of having a real experience of our interconnectivity as a global species, wherever you go today, when you
see a “stranger” notice what state they are in and say, “Look,
I’m___________________________” (fill in the blank with
whatever state you perceive them to be in.)
For example, if you see a beggar on the side of the street, say
to yourself, “Look, I’m hungry.” If you see a very wealthy person
in a Mercedes convertible say, “Look, I’m quite wealthy.”
Journal Time!
Please write about your Empathic Adventure Field Trip below.
What was it like for you? This may be the very most important
thing you ever do en route to becoming one of History’s Greats.

MODULE 6: WINNING
CONVERSATIONS—5 MOVES
TO MAKE A KILLER
FIRST IMPRESSION
Action Steps:
Practice TrueCharisma’s 5 steps to a killer first impression next
time you go to a party or arrive at a job interview:
#1 Prepare Yourself: Do your “Working with Uncomfort-
able Feelings” Practice from Module 4 if you have any uncomfortable feelings that may be blocking your flow of charisma.
This is where you look for any discomfort in the regions of your
stomach, heart or shoulders/throat and breathe. Place loving
attention and breath there and state out loud to yourself how
you feel. Ex: I feel nervous about entering this party alone.
#2 Speak Discoveries: only about what’s true for you (be
bravely honest) and what you discovered only in the last few
seconds. The Discoveries do not have to be groundbreaking—
but they can be.
#3 Ask Questions by looking for what’s interesting to you.
The questions do not have to be deep, but they can be. Just
like you looked to become curious about the people who were
28 | “Unlock Your Charisma Code” Workbook Action Guide
different than you in the prior module, Module 5, see what you
want to know about this person and ask them lots of questions.
And remember: If you’re not learning you’re dying.
#4 Play Jazz. It makes people feel valued when you ask ques-
tions about them—especially thoughtful questions that show
you’re genuinely interested--but make sure to actually LISTEN
for the answer! Ask Questions and then… LISTEN for the
answer. Rally the question and answer back and forth…practice
brevity whenever possible. Jazz is not about the Monologue; it
is about the Dialogue. Brevity will help you be in conversation.
#5 Pay attention to their shifts of engagement with you—
practice being dynamic as you learned in Module 4. Switch up
your Charisma Type as a means of holding their attention if you
find them drifting. Or, if you choose, simply excuse yourself and
move on to discoveries with new people.
*Module 6 Bonus Points* Biophoton awareness
exercise: (Reference pg. 182 in The Charisma Code)
Drawing from physicist Fritz-Albert Popp’s discovery that we are
emitting little particles of light (biophotons) that are communicating and interrelating with those around us (at ALL times), see
if you can be aware of this ever so subtle non-verbal communication throughout your day. As mystic traditions have always
told us, there are no private thoughts--best we put our energy on
“being real” with our fellow people.

RESOLVE CONFLICT WITH
THESE 7 MAGICAL MOVES
Action Steps:
Practice TrueCharisma’s 7 magical moves to bypass and resolve
conflict the next time you feel your hackles rise. Before biting,
do the following:
#1 Seek to understand before judging (Reference Pg. 185 in The
Charisma Code)
#2 Ask questions in a neutral tone
#3 Make the commitment to choose to seek to understand before
judging another (feel this commitment in your body first. This
particular choice needs to be a powerful commitment as it is so
easy to be swayed to judge instead of wonder.)
#4 Practice Listening to the other person with your whole body
(what are they really saying? How do your body sensations
change when you’re listening to them?). Paying attention to your
body sensations when in conversation with another will not only
help you understand the communication “beyond words” they
are transmitting, it will also help you identify how you are actually responding to the encounter. For example, you might expe32 | “Unlock Your Charisma Code” Workbook Action Guide
rience a tight knot in your belly, fire in your heart, or fuzziness
in your brain. Being aware of your physical-emotional response
will help you know what to say next.
#5 Do what the Greats do: Take responsibility!
#6 Say what you need to say simply. When it’s someone you trust
with your feelings say an, “I feel _____” statement using only one
breath to say “what you feel….”. Any more verbiage than that can
cause confusion. Be simple with communicating your feelings.
#7 Practice inclusion (Catalyst Research— Researchers asked
in 6 countries, “What separates a great leader from a mediocre
one?”—reference pg. 176 in The Charisma Code for more details
on this study and its’ findings)
Answer: those who practice inclusion. See your people’s Value!!!
