Questions to Ask:
• What type of activities are you involved in?
• What tasks do you need help with?
• How often do you need help?
• What are your current abilities, personal
characteristics, experience with AT and
what is your environment or support
services?
• What type of assistive technology will meet your
needs? What is available to meet your needs?
• Does the assistive technology have the
capabilities to accomplish the identified tasks?

Simply Put:
• Consider the problem and determine
what is available to solve the problem.
• Develop a plan of action.
• Create an environment for success,
independence, and an improved
quality of life!
FUNDING
Paying for Assistive Technology
Medicare Part B may cover up to 80%, of the
costs.
The Veterans Administration may pay for a
portion of the costs.
There are grants and non-profits that may
assist with the purchase of equipment.
