WHY THE CriCoRM
PROJECT?
‰ During the emergencies ASL is responsible for the health of the population living in the area
‰ ASL in the past years faced several emergency situations in which it developed an internal organizational model aimed to optimize crisis preparedness
Examples: Millenium Bug 1999, Spongiliform Encephalopathy, Bioterrorism, Salò Earthquake 2004
‰The expertise in this field led to the EU HEALTHREATS Project (2007‐2010) aimed to the development of a Decision Support System for Health Crisis Management
EXPECTATIONS
FROM CRICORM
The essential role of communication with citizens/stakeholders has emerged clearly during emergencies that ASL Brescia faced and during the EU funded
HEALTHREATS Project coordinated by ASL Brescia
We aim to achieve an effective communication strategy, which will ultimately increase population compliance with public health recommendations
