PRESENT PROGRESSIVE
 Toλ “present progressive” (ελεζηώηα δηαξθείαο) ηνλ ρξεζηκνπνηνύκε
γηα λα εθθξάζνπκε κία πξάμε ή κία θαηάζηαζε ε νπνία ζπκβαίλεη
ηελ ζηηγκή πνπ κηιάκε.
π.ρ. I am reading a book now.
Γη΄απηό ε ιέμε θιεηδί ε νπνία αθνινπζεί ζρεδόλ πάληα ηνλ ρξόλν απηόλ
είλαη ε ιέμε «now» (ηώξα).
 Ο “present progressive” ζρεκαηίδεηαη:
Με ην ξήκα I am + ηελ ενεργητική μετοτή (present participle).
Η “present participle” θάζε ξήκαηνο είλαη o απιόο ηύπνο ηνπ ξήκαηνο
κε ηελ θαηάιεμε -ing ζην ηέινο ( work+ -ing = working).
 Σηελ εξώηεζε έρνπκε απιή αληηζηξνθή ζην ξήκα I am, ελώ ζηελ
άξλεζε ηελ πξνζζήθε ηνπ not αλάκεζα ζην ξήκα Ι am θαη ζηελ
“present participle”. Κιίλεηαη ωο εμήο:

 Προσοχή όταν σχηματίζουμε την “present participle”:
