(allow them to answer) How do you know? 2. INVESTIGATE God’s Word: “What does the Bible say about it?” Read: Psalm 135:6. “The Lord does whatever He pleases in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all the depths.” HCSB Do you know what omnipotent means? (let them share their understanding) Here’s what the dictionary says about “omnipotence”. “…having very great or unlimited power; almighty, never ending power.” The Bible says in this verse that God can do whatever He pleases. Key Point: We can trust in God’s Word that what He says about Himself is true. 3. Discuss Personal IMPACT: “What difference will it make in my life?” Knowing this gives us assurance when we are living our lives at school, at church, and even at home. What have you learned in God’s Word about His power? Can you think of a Bible story that talks about God power? (allow them to share) Have you ever had a time when you have felt God’s power or presence? (praise them for sharing) 4. PRAY with your children related to this discussion. Guide your child (ren) to thank God for how good He is and for being so powerful, such as the changing of the seasons and all of creation, including humans. Also, guide them to thank Him for times when they have known His presence and guidance.
