boss). Describe how you feel about him/her now with light-hearted jabs at
his/her personality and/or physical form by replacing the original sweet
words with alternative ugly lyrics based on the lists on the following pages.

The singing group Mocedades from Bilbao, Spain originally popularized Eres Tú. The
song was an enormous hit in the United States and Latin America during the 1970’s,
reaching the top ten for several weeks. Its lyrics express feelings of love so simply
and artfully that even non-Spanish speakers can learn the song quickly. Even today,
almost forty years later, Eres Tú is popular at weddings in Spain and Latin America.
Some students may recognize this song from a brief episode in the 1995 Chris Farley
movie “Tommy Boy” (at about 1:16 into the movie).
