Sustainable & Renewable Cork
Primarily grown in the coastal Mediterranean region, cork trees thrive in harsh conditions
and have an average life expectancy of 120 years. Unlike most trees where the primary
value is derived from the lumber of the trunk, cork is obtained by harvesting the bark
of the tree. The cork bark can be harvested every 9-11 years, and the peeling of the
cork bark is necessary to maintain the health of the cork tree. The harvested cork is first
used to make cork bottle stoppers. The industrial by-product cork is graded, ground and
formed into sheets under high pressure to repurpose it as beautiful cork flooring.

Natural Cork® New Dimensions offers an array of popular and eclectic
cork patterns in wide and narrow widths with beveled edges. Nominal
24 in. x 18 in. wide tiles can be installed in a traditional point-to-point
configuration or in a brickwork pattern to add interest to a room.

Moldings and Transitions
TSP™ Topical Spill Protection
Natural Cork® has moldings and transitions available to add the finishing touch to
your floor. Moldings and transitions are made from oak and stained to coordinate
with your floor.
TSP™ Topical Spill Protection guards your Natural Cork® floor from everyday wet
spills and keeps moisture from penetrating the joints which can damage ordinary
floor panels. Protection in the form of a moisture-repellent, paraffin-oil based
agent is factory applied to the edges of each plank to safeguard your floor from
accidents that are bound to happen.
QUARTER ROUND: Covers the expansion gap between
the floor and the base of the wall.
T-MOLD: Covers transitions in doorways and expansion
gaps required in large rooms.
BABY THRESHOLD: Provides transition between
different flooring surfaces and is also used to trim the
floor’s end in doorways.
Natural Cork® Underlayment
Endura AR™ Advanced Abrasion Resistance
Natural Cork® floors are protected by Endura AR™, our proprietary UV-cured,
water based acrylic finish providing advanced generation abrasion resistance.
This new generation of finish improves wear performance and scratch resistance
without compromising the resiliency and flexibility of the wear layer.
NATURAL CORK® Product Information
USFloors offers basic and premium Natural Cork® underlayments for use under
hard-wood, laminate, ceramic tile, and carpet. Our basic underlayment, Natural
Cork® Underlayment provides excellent acoustical insulation under hard surface
flooring, added thermal insulation, and helps inhibit the gowth of odor-causing
mold and meldew. It also serves as a stress crack protection membrane when
used underneath ceramic tile. Natural Cork® Underlayment is available in sheets
or in 200 sq. ft. rolls.
CorkShield® Premium Underlayment
Our premium underlayment, CorkShield®, offers all of the benefits of Natural
Cork® Underlayment plus:
• Attached aluminum film provides the dual benefits of a moisture barrier and
helps conserve energy enhancing the natural thermal insulation properties of
the cork itself.
A Naturally, Healthier Floor
Natural Cork is the the ONLY flooring that naturally inhibits the growth of odor
causing mold and mildew for a healthier floor. In an age where asthma and
airborne allergies are prevalent among many young people, a Natural Cork® floor
gives you the confidence that you have a floor that helps you breathe easier.
Floating Floor Installation
Our Natural Cork® products feature the floating floor glueless installation profile
allowing you to quickly and easily install your floor without the need for nails
or messy glues. This “floating floor” installation provides the fastest installation
method available and is much easier than other floating floor methods when it
comes to installation in tight spaces, such as underneath kitchen cabinets and in
doorways. Once installed, you can walk on your floor immediately. Since the floor
is not permanently attached to the structure, you can actually disassemble your
floating floor and re-install it in another location.
Floor Care and Maintenance
Protect your Natural Cork® floor by taking the following precautions:
• Vacuum or sweep your floor at least once a week.
Never wet mop your floor.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
• Use walk off mats at entrances and in front of kitchen sink.
• Avoid rubber backed or other non-ventilated mats or rugs.
• Install felt pads underneath feet of furniture.
• Use protective chair pads underneath chairs with rollers or casters.
• Maintain minimum relative humidity of 50%-60%.
• Never apply tape or adhesive products to floor surface.
• Keep pet claws trimmed.
Maintaining Your Natural Cork® Floor
All that is required for maintenance is frequent and regular sweeping or
vacuuming of your floor. When required, use a non-abrasive floor cleaner,
without oils, that is recommended for hard surface flooring. Never wet mop your
floor!
