BRITISH BLANKET COMPANY
The British Blanket Company is a friendly family business created by local brother and sister team, Joe
and Bethan John. We are proud to bring quality blankets woven at a traditional Welsh mill to fans of
colourful textiles at Hestercombe for the first time this Christmas.
Each blanket is handpicked for its quality, style and versatility. Whether you’re looking for a sofa throw
for cool nights, or a beautiful blanket to add colour to your bedroom, The British Blanket Company will
have a design to suit.
BRENDON HILL CRAFTS
Brendon Hill Crafts produce a wide variety of preserves; jams, marmalades, chutneys, jellies, sauces,
vinegars and fruit cheeses. This will include all the festive favourites – cranberry Sauce, cranberry and
whortleberry chutney and plenty of fruit cheeses to accompany your cheeseboards, all of which will
make ideal Christmas presents in their own right, as additions to hampers, or as a treat for your own
dinner table. Brendon Hill Crafts will also have gift bags for you to fill with goodies of your choice.
CLAIRE PARSONS
Animals, the surrounding countryside and the nearby coastline are the inspiration Claire’s prints. All of
her original designs are hand-printed by Claire.
COCOA’s
Cocoa hand makes chocolates locally in Bicknoller, near Taunton in their 5* hygiene rated catering
unit. They use all of the best quality ingredients available, including the highest grade couverture
Belgium chocolate, as well as all of the best toppings that can be found or made! The range includes
numerous popular flavoured bars, as well as novelty shaped chocolates.
COOK
Cook produces delicious frozen meals with no additives or preservatives, just quality, wholesome
ingredients. An individual chef makes each dish and their name even appears on the label of your
meal. At Christmas, they can help out with everything from the full Christmas lunch, to party canapés
and centre piece desserts.
Cook will have a number of different hot tasters, showcasing their fantastic festive range. They will also
be selling a variety of their non-frozen products and the ever-popular mulling syrup.
COPPER PAN KITCHEN
Delicious homemade fudge in a variety of flavours.
DANCING DRAGONFLIES
Dancing Dragonflies creates everything from local scenes depicted in embroidery and fabric to detailed
wirework dragonflies. The landscapes and nature of the South West, particularly Exmoor and the
Quantock Hills provide the inspiration for one off pieces of textile art and items of jewellery.
DOKBLOK
DOKBLOK are unique wooden docking station stands for mobile phones and tablets, hand-made in the
Blackdown Hills Somerset. Crafted in English Oak and using the resonance inherent in the natural
wood, enriching and amplifying both speech and music. Sculptured hand painted 3D plaster cast
pictures of natural forms from crabs to conkers. No two casts will be the same, varying shades of
colours and textures making each one individually special. All frames hand made from oak or ash.
DROWNING IN CHOCOLATE
Chocolatier Heather makes gorgeous fresh chocolate entirely by hand using natural flavours and
ethically sourced ingredients made from the finest cocoa beans.
EVERY ONE’S DIFFERENT
E1D is all about unique hand crafted jewellery and gifts right here in Somerset. They pride themselves
in quality designs with everyone being different. Their ranges include the ever popular ‘Sweetie Range’,
crystal, glass and ceramic beaded designs. You will be welcome to choose from the extensive selection
that E1D carries or have something personal created.
FLOSSIE’S ANTIQUES
Flossie’s Antiques offer a mix of country furniture and decorative antiques at affordable prices. They
also plant up pretty pieces of old china with seasonal plants such as cyclamen or pansies and these
make lovely token affordable presents. Flossie’s Antiques offer a range of glassware, silver, linen and
quirky items such as vintage sledges.
GORGEOUS GIFTS
Gorgeous Gifts is a Devon based online boutique store selling a wide range of beautiful presents. For
our second time at Hestercombe they will be bringing funky kitchen textiles, placemats and coasters,
cute seasonal lines from Gisela Graham and other top designers, Christmas essentials and stocking
fillers plus a fabulous range of travel wallets and purses. They don’t forget the men either with our stock
of flasks, washbags, hip flasks and accessories. So, whether you’re looking for a special gift or just an
unusual Secret Santa surprise you’re sure to find it on the Gorgeous Gift’s stall.
HATTY’S ATTIC
Hatty's Attic offers gorgeous shabby chic and country style gifts and homewares. Irresistible items to
decorate your home bringing a relaxed and comfortable setting to your interiors.
HAM HILL CIDER
Ham Hill Ciders are made from Somerset vintage cider apples, by them in Somerset. They aim to make
cider we want to drink, rich in flavour and heritage, but also refreshingly appley and smooth. Varieties
include; “Long Barrel” and “Early Drop” made from the first pressed apples of the autumn.
“Dry” is as pure a drink that can possibly be made, we just let the apples speak for themselves.
“Medium” is crafted from the main crop of apples harvested and pressed at their best for maximum
flavour.
IN CLOVER
Handwoven willowcraft gifts and decorations for the home including stars, hearts, bells, angels,
reindeer and alternative Christmas trees. Also bulbs in pots and baskets for scent and colour at
Christmas into early spring.
INTO THE WILD ART
Into The Wild Art by Helena Willford showcases intricate watercolour paintings of initials and
numbers. Looking at nature to make the shapes, the themes are floral and nautical inspired. There is a
selection of both themes in framed prints, pretty mugs and greeting cards, ideal for a Christmas gift for
a loved one. Prices start from £2 to £25, commissions can also be taken.
JINKS ART
Jinks art is Exmoor based ink artist Jessamy Keily. She uses inks in a variety of ways, creating beautiful
artworks inspired by nature and the ocean. Particularly popular is her 'Dark Skies' series, combining
Exmoor's starry skies with wonderful British wildlife.

Based on the Quantocks, Just Bee uses honey and beeswax from the family beehives to create luxurious
beeswax candles and skincare. From our elegant, unique votive candles, carefully scented to reflect
the local countryside, to our beneficial skincare range that soothes and comforts the skin, our natural
range is perfect for Christmas. Just Bee was featured in Country Living Magazine this September.
KATE WESTWOOD ART
Kate produces contemporary prints of landscapes and wildlife and also takes commissions for bespoke
pet portraits. At the market, she will be selling a range of mounted prints, greeting cards and some
small gifts items featuring my designs.
LIBERTY CAKES
Liberty Cakes specialises in gluten free & vegan products that taste better than regular cakes, tarts and
nut butters.
LIBERTY FIELDS
Liberty Fields specialises in unique apple-based products, made using the apples grown in the Dorset
orchards they planted in 2010. Their mission is to explore the taste of apples.
They currently produce 6 Year Old Apple Balsamic Vinegar, made in the traditional Italian method and aged
for 6 years in oak barrels; Liberty Fields Apple Aperitif (8%) deliciously mellow, made only from apples,
perfect served with English cheese or to make a longer drink; and Porter's Perfection Vodka, subtle and
beautifully coloured, the perfect sipping vodka.
LINEN PRINTS
Linen Prints is a Bristol based designer and printmaker working with lino cut and mixed media images.
Products include a range of greetings cards, coaster and placemats, tea towels and prints and hand
printed fabric for cushions.
NICOLA JANE RABBETT
Nicola Jane Rabbett is a British Artist, Illustrator and Designer, whose studio is based at the foot of the
Quantocks in glorious Somerset. Nicola designs and makes a range of products that have
been inspired by the stunning local landscape and coastline. Original paintings, prints, greetings
cards, appliqué embroidered clutch
bags and cushions, are to name but a few of the products that Nicola produces. All have been lovingly
designed and crafted by hand. Nicola will be selling a selection of handmade Christmas decorations.
PLUM DUFF & STUFF
Plum Duff and Stuff are makers of award winning Christmas Puddings, both traditional and
gluten/wheat free. Each pudding is steamed for eight hours, is vegetarian and dairy-free. It also makes
award-winning Seville Orange Marmalade which is ‘hand cut’ and from a 19th century family recipe.
Plum Duff & Stuff - a family business based in West Somerset - also makes a range of Fruit Cheeses,
Jams and Jellies from fruits including damson, greengage, medlar, mulberry and quince. All these
preserves are subject to availability, as is the Honey, Honeycombs and Beeswax, produced by the
family’s bees.
QUANTOCK MOSAICS
Pamela Salmon has been creating mosaics for over two years in her studio overlooking the Quantock
Hills. She mainly uses recycled stained glass on mirror glass. The mosaics are waterproof and can be
displayed outside in courtyards and gardens. Her influences are Gaudi, William Blake, Coleridge, and
of course, West Somerset.
SHARAN JAMES
After relocating to Somerset, Sharan was able to nurture her love of glass. Sharan began exploring and
developing her own style, initially up-cycling garden lanterns using copper foil and creating lead-work
panels. She went on to design and makes decorative items for the home and garden. Sharan also
undertakes commissions and restoration work using antique, vintage and contemporary glass.
Her work is sold at events around the country and through various galleries including the 303 Gallery,
Martock and the Cathedral Gift Shop, Wells.
SHELLEY MCLOUGHLIN
Shelley Mcloughlin (ShelleyM) has been creating jewellery since the early 90’s. At ShelleyM you can
find a wide range of jewellery creations including marcasite, sterling silver, polymer clay and semiprecious stone pieces.
She specialises in earrings, pendants and necklaces, many of which are made by Shelley, but she also
sources and retails many quality silver items as well.
SPOTTED COW CREATIONS
Spotted Cow Creations, based in the heart of Somerset, design and create their own range of silk daisy
chains which girls of all ages love. They are individual daisies with loop ended soft yarn stems that
easily join together to make a daisy chain. Spotted Cow Creations launched their new silk poppy
chains in the Summer, which look fabulous.
Other very pretty gifts in the range include daisy bags, daisy dresses and jackets, daisy soaps and
daisy paperchains. They also have beautiful frothy tutus in a range of wonderful colours, pretty floral
garlands and other pretty flowery gifts for girls.
STONEWARE CERAMICS
Stoneware Ceramics design and make hand thrown stoneware ceramics using rich vivid glazes. They
are made to be used in the oven or aga, at any temperature, and can also be used in the microwave.
TANSY WILSON
Tansy Wilson successfully graduated from Brighton University with a BA Honors Degree in Three
Dimensional Design specializing in metalwork. This broad based materials course enabled her to gain
knowledge in a wide variety of materials of which she utilizes today within her own work especially
combining silver and gold with her passion of mother of pearl buttons and freshwater pearls or
Swarovski crystals.
She is obsessed with mother of pearl buttons and the beautiful shimmer and sheen they have.
Combining them with freshwater pearls or crystals creates really wearable and affordable pieces.
TRACEY BARTLETT
Tracey is a local felt and textile artist, specialising in handcrafted wearable’s and items for the home,
often combining machine /hand embroidery and felt together in her work.
JANE ALEXANDER - THE ART OF ENAMEL
Jane’s method of stencilling complex designs on to copper maintains a vibrant colour and texture for
each individually handcrafted item. She designs and makes one-off pieces, with strong bold shapes
and forms and with an eclectic range of styles and subject matter. Each is rich in colour and pattern. A
gift which will last a lifetime without losing any brilliance. Pictures, Jewellery, Boxes and Buttons and
Placemats and Coasters featuring my original enamel designs.
UNIVERSITY OF DIVERSITY
University of Diversity is a fashion accessory business where each piece is designed and made by Carly
Brown. Vintage and upcycled materials are used to create one off statement pieces.
University Of Diversity exhibits around the South West and in some local boutiques, last year they had
a collection on the catwalk, and this year were part of Bath in Fashion. University of Diversity is
Jewellery with a story.
