From the Principal’s Desk:
Last month, promises were fulfilled by a handful of
teachers who “Walked the Plank” for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society (Mr. Calkins’s is pictured above). This month
is extremely important as students engage in their first round of
state testing at the end of the month. Parents, encourage your
students to get plenty of rest that week and try their best on
these tests. Please take note of the testing dates both on this
page and on the next page.
In addition, this week we are connecting students learning
in the classrooms to careers. While students in fourth and fifth
grade may seem young to be thinking about their careers, it is our
hope that students understand the relevance that their current
learning will have on their futures. At the end of this month,
students have the opportunity to showcase their talents at the
annual talent show. This show will also display student art work
in the Performing Arts Center lobby. Enjoy the month!
