Our last Box Top contest was a nail-biter. With surprise updates right up until the end, who knew
which class would win?!? In fact, it was SO exciting, we’d like to have ANOTHER contest! Our second
quarter contest will run from October 25 through December 16, with the winning class receiving a
pizza party! Let’s go, Lions…see if we can get 2,500 or more box tops this quarter.
Please remember to check the weather daily
before sending your child to school.
Students are outside before school and at
recess unless it is below 20 degrees, raining,
or snowing. The school cannot provide coats,
gloves, hats, scarves or boots to students.
SPANISH CLASS
Due to Augustana’s Finals and Fall
Break schedule, the after school
Spanish Class will meet this Thursday,
October 27, but their next meeting will
be Thursday, November 17.
Thank you!
Winning Manners
As you may know, we are practicing
respect at school this year. during
the first quarter, Longfellow’s
PRIDE focus was manners and using
them with staff and other students
during school.
Congratulations to the following
students whose names were drawn
from the special Pride Card bin in
the office. These students received
either a gift certificate or a brand
new soccer ball or basketball.

Well done!
Reminder…if your child participated in the Genevieve’s
gift and candy fundraiser, the deadline to return your
order and payment is WEDNESDAY! Please have your child
bring their order and payment directly to the office
and turn it in to Mrs. Beck or Mrs. Vize.
