The Kid’s Dog Show is held at the Dan Kostel Recreation Center in the
skating arena. There are 6 categories that are available, your child can
enter the family pet in 1 category. Each category has a limit of 10 entries.

Kid’s parade their pets on stage and are judged by 5 judges, points are on a
1 to 10 scale. Cleveland’s own Biggest Animal Lover & Advocate, Mr. Dick
Goddard of Fox 8 TV is our emcee for this popular event. Sponsored by
Dr. Richard Thompson of the Family Pet Clinic, and The City of Garfield
Heights, Together on stage with Robert Dobies, Director of Parks &
Recreation- they are quite a team!

We always have a “special guest” appearance.... this years guest is yet TBD
– in the past we have had Firefighter Joe Rody with “Baxter” & The
Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, with orphans up for adoption. McGruff
the Crime Dog & the Garfield Heights “Bulldog Mascot”

Dog age – 6 months or older
Dog must have all required shots
Dog must be on a leash
Pre-registration at the recreation center
Categories are limited to 10 dogs in each – (sign
