Diverse Strategies for Diverse Learners: Nov. 8, 2016

The East Hampton School District proudly presents the East End Teachers Academy, in
collaboration with the School of Professional Development at Stony Brook University. This third
annual conference addresses the myriad of issues faced by our ELL students. Discussions and
presentations will highlight how districts are designing and delivering effective methods for
academic and social/emotional success.

Registration and the morning sessions will take place in the Fine Arts Building, as indicated by
the star on the above map.
Directions from points west of Southampton:
Take I-495 (Long Island Expressway) east to Exit 70, then turn right on Route 111 (follow the
signs for Route 27 East/Montauk - Sunrise Highway). Take Route 27 (east) and proceed 19 miles
to Southampton Campus. Make right on Tuckahoe Road. Go past first entrance on Tuckahoe
Road and past the empty field. Turn right at next entrance where you will see a guard booth on
your right. On the left, a parking lot is available for guest parking.
From the East End:
Take Route 27 East (which becomes County Road 39) and proceed 19 miles to Southampton
Campus. Make left at the traffic light onto Tuckahoe Road. Go past the first entrance on
Tuckahoe Road. Turn left at the next entrance. Follow the directions above.
