of a once in a lifetime opportunity to design and

A panel will judge all artworks submitted according
to the three objectives on the following page. The
panel will select three applicants’ artworks; the three
successful artists selected will receive artist fees
($1000 each), an opportunity to attend workshops
with Matt Adnate (www.adnate.com.au) and must
be available for 5 days of painting (Mon-Fri March
- dates to be confirmed). The completed artwork
designs will receive wide exposure and will be seen
as part of the creative and deadly Melbourne street
art scene.
If you are interested in submitting an application please
complete the form below and return this to VACCHO
along with three examples of your work (Please do not
send in original artwork, copies are fine).
The mural will be based around the three objectives
below so keep this in mind when choosing samples of
your work for us.

• Represents Victorian Aboriginal cultures
• Represents the rich diversity and vibrancy of the

VACCHO turns 20 years old on 16 April 2016 and has
many anniversary celebrations planned. The mural
will be launched in April 2016 and the successful
artists will be invited to attend and their work be
acknowledged.
A bit about us
The Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled
Health Organisation (VACCHO) is at heart and by
constitution an Aboriginal community controlled

identity, essential to our communities and part of our
world. Aboriginal culture is ancient and contemporary,
dynamic, strong, vulnerable and valuable. Our
Members’ cultural identities are an important source
of strength and this inform our ways of working and
integrity.
An understanding of Aboriginal culture is important
to partners who wish to engage with us effectively
and as equals. We view cultural identity as part of
our strength as representatives of the Aboriginal
community. Embracing our culture and our identity
serves to strengthen inclusion, understanding and
