Interview with a Volcanologist (p. 222-­‐223 in STC Textbook) Objective: While learning about volcanologists and address Learning Target #2 (technology and tools that are used to create a deeper understanding of catastrophic events and people’s ability to prepare for them), you will be creating a pretend interview with a famous volcanologist. Within your interview you will need answer the following questions: 1.) What is like to work so closely with volcanoes? 2.) How do instruments, technology and tools help you when working with volcanoes? 3.) What happens when a volcano is ready to erupt? Your interview can be in two different formats: o News article where answers are summarized into a few paragraphs: “After interviewing famous volcanologist, Bob Brown, he answered many valuable questions regarding volcanoes…. o Interview format: Interviewer: “Mr. Brown, it is great to have this opportunity to sit down and talk to you about your work with volcanoes.
