Interview with a Volcanologist (p. 222-­‐223 in STC Textbook) Objective: While learning about volcanologists and address Learning Target #2 (technology and tools that are used to create a deeper understanding of catastrophic events and people’s ability to prepare for them), you will be creating a pretend interview with a famous volcanologist. Within your interview you will need answer the following questions: 1.) What is like to work so closely with volcanoes? 2.) How do instruments, technology and tools help you when working with volcanoes? 3.) What happens when a volcano is ready to erupt? Your interview can be in two different formats: o News article where answers are summarized into a few paragraphs: “After interviewing famous volcanologist, Bob Brown, he answered many valuable questions regarding volcanoes…. o Interview format: Interviewer: “Mr. Brown, it is great to have this opportunity to sit down and talk to you about your work with volcanoes. You have been famous and have been to many volcanoes in your life. Can you please tell me what it like working so closely with volcanoes everyday of your life?” Bob: “Well, it is ……. “ Requirements: 1.)
