both!business!and!education.!After!playing!basketball!and!football!at!C.K.!McClatchy!
High!School,!Bedford!accepted!an!athletic!scholarship!to!attend!the!University!of!
California,!Berkeley!as!its!first!African!American!quarterback,!earning!a!Bachelor!of!
Arts!degree!in!Race!Relations!and!Economics.!Bedford!was!drafted!into!the!
National!Football!League!by!the!Dallas!Cowboys!and!played!professionally!before!
returning!to!Sacramento!where!he!earned!his!Juris!Doctorate!Degree!and!a!Master!
of!Business!Administration.!

Brian!spent!13!years!in!the!private!sector!employed!by!Intel!Corporation!and!Apple!
in!various!leadership!positions!before!joining!Sacramento!City!College!as!a!
