Senior Research Scientist
The position
Life Science Product Development at Exiqon A/S in Vedbaek, Denmark seeks an
experienced research scientist with a background in biology and analysis of nucleic
acids.
As a Research Scientist at Exiqon you will be scientifically responsible for the
development of products that intelligently apply the newest technologies and
demonstrate an outstanding performance. You will be working with multidisciplinary and
enthusiastic teams from Research and Development, Manufacturing and Sales and
Marketing. Together with these teams you will develop and bring to the market molecular
biology kits, reagents, and tools for the life science research field, in particular for
detection of microRNA and mRNA.
Main Responsibilities

Development of new oligonucleotide based research products within the field of
RNA and DNA research

Define and invent market competitive Life Science products that satisfies the
customer requirements

Lead research and development activities in Exiqon’s Life Science product
development projects, occasionally manage the entire project

Provide scientific input in writing and figures for the marketing of Life Science
products

Stay updated with state of the art life science solutions

Work with Sales & Marketing as well as Manufacturing to ensure the successful
and timely delivery of a project; typically a project leading to a new product or
change in an existing product

Be involved in training and support of global Sales team and Technical Support
team
Qualifications and experience

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in biology with an extensive molecular biology experience within
several of the below mentioned areas

qPCR

Nucleic acid preparation

Other PCR based analysis methods for CNV, mutations, epigenetics

Oligo design for various purposes, perhaps with LNA™

Project management

Microarrays

Excellent English oral and written communication skills
