MODIFICATION AT THE SUBSIDIARY OF THE NORTH CHANNEL BANK
NORTHSTAR CEO WARD BUKOFSKY LEAVES THE
COMPANY
Mainz, April 30th, 2015 Ward Bukofsky, CEO of NorthStar Life Services, LLC, Irvine/
California is leaving our company in order to pursue new challenges. The management of
the subsidiary and Mr. Bukofsky have come to a mutual agreement, which dissolves the
present employment contract effective immediately.
Ward Bukofsky was part of the NorthStar Life Services team for the past seven years, lastly performing as the company‘s CEO. NorthStar Life Services, a 100-percent subsidiary of
the North Channel Bank GmbH & Co. KG is one of the most experienced and renowned
servicers in the secondary market for US life insurances. „We would like to thank Ward
Bukofsky for his tireless efforts. His work has decisively contributed to NorthStar Life Services‘ present position in this special market domain“ stated Volker Bellmann, speaker for
the management of the North Channel Bank. According to Mr. Bellmann, the question of
Mr. Bukofsky‘s future successor is near clarification. In the mean time, Mr. Volker Huther,
CFO of NorthStar Life Services, will temporarily assume the duties of the CEO.
North Channel Bank GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1924 as the private bank Bankhaus Oswald Kruber, located in Berlin. In 2009, a group of North American investors with
expertise in the life settlement sector acquired the bank and renamed it North Channel
Bank. In the following years the bank developed into one of the leading institutes in US
life insurance financing. With the takeover of the subsidiary NorthStar Life Services, LLC
Irvine, California in 2013, the bank gained direct access to and influence on a reliable,
experienced and renowned service provider. Today, in addition to the financing of US life
insurance, the bank also offers individual services in the securities trading business.
