ARRIVAL INFORMATION
Accommodation
CETA possesses neither flats nor residences and it does not interfere nor compromises itself in the
search of housing for its students.
Though CETA does not assume any responsibility, the school provides useful housing information to
the students who request it.
In Barcelona, it’s very frequent to rent a room in a shared flat. The price usually ranges from 350 to
400€ per person (it depends on whether the expenses are included or not). The flats are normally
fully equipped.
We provide you with three different options to search for housing in Barcelona.
1. Look for lodging in student residences
There are several student residences in Barcelona where you can find a room or share one. According
to the residence, it can have an individual bathroom and kitchen and the room can be private or
shared. The prices depend on these criteria.
2. Use an online browser or real-estate agencies.
You will find many agencies online that offer housing services: they will help you find a room or will
put you in touch with the owners.
3. You can also look for a room through web pages that have classified ads.
In these web pages you can find updated lists of apartments, shared flats or rooms.
Finally, if you plan to come to Barcelona and then find housing, we advise you to come approximately
2 weeks before the beginning of the course, in order to ensure you will be settled well before you
start studying.
CETA is in the centre of Barcelona, in the district of "L'Eixample Esquerra", which is very well
communicated by three different underground lines, as well as trains and buses. Any flat placed
inside the metropolitan area of Barcelona will have an easy access to CETA.

Grading system at CETA
Normal load is 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits
per semester; however, the number of credits is to be defined at
the home university.
In the ECTS system of study points, a student gets 60 credits per
year.
Students are able to choose from a variety of courses offered in
English and/or Spanish
In any case, they have to fulfil the requirements of their sending
institution.
Language of tuition: English and/or Spanish
Exchange students who wish to attend classes in Spanish and
English are expected to demonstrate proficiency in both languages
at least to level B1 of the Common European Framework of
Reference for Languages.
In order to help Erasmus students who do not have sufficient
Spanish language knowledge, CETA offers the opportunity to join a
Spanish course, which will be free of charge. The Spanish course at
CETA is highly motivational and it is classified in level A1/2
(Beginner).
