GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
B - Beginner I - Intermediate A - Advanced
Safety Guidelines: Beginners should arrive prior to class start time. Introduce
yourself to your instructor! Regular participants should arrive at start time.
Proper set up and warm up are essential for getting the most out of your
group fitness experience. For your safety, classes may “close” at start time.
Beginner Yoga (B) - 8:30am/ 6:00pm, M. Exercise, breathing and relaxation techniques designed to improve or
maintain quality of health. Class meets for 90 minutes. Yoga Room
Battle Ropes/Ab 6:00 pm M small gym. This awesome class is both fun and challenging. Great full body workout
with a 30 minutes of abs to top it off !
Body Pump (BIA)- 9:40 am M, 5:35 am T/TH, 6:30pm T/TH, 8:00 am S A fun heart pumping routine
to replace your weight lifting regimen. Class is designed to get you in shape utilizing weight bearing
exercises and repetitions in a safe format.
Cardio Combo (BIA)- 8:30am M, 5:45 am W - Step, cardio kick, exercise balls, bands, weights and
more! Different combos every class! Aerobics Room
Cardio Kick (BIA) - 5:30 p.m. T/TH, 10 a.m. S - Inspired by aerobics and kickboxing, Cardio Kick will leave you
feeling empowered while boosting your heart rate and your cardiovascular endurance. Aerobics Room
Cardio Sculpt (BIA) 3:30 M/W– Class combines cardio floor aerobics and sculpting exercises for a well-rounded
workout. Class meets in the Gym at the Jackson County ISD building on Parnall Rd. Right side of building, enter
the door with “Y” sign on it. Regular member fees apply, nonmembers pay $5. ISD employees pay just $3!
Silver Sneakers FREE (BIA) – 10:45am T/TH. Exercises to improve strength and range of movement. A
chair can be used for seated or standing support. Aerobics Room
Stretch and Strength (BI) – 8:30am T/TH. Full body toning with free-weights and stretch cords and more, including
exercise for flexibility and balance. Aerobics Room
Target Tone (IA) – 12:10pm T/TH, F 9:40. This toning and strengthening class includes basic exercises utilizing all
major muscle groups and a variety of equipment. Aerobics Room
Turning Point Fitness, Cardio and Yoga– PRE REGISTRATION REQUIRED – Provided through a grant
from Susan G. Komen. Classes are for breast cancer survivors. Registration required. See desk for details.
TRX (IA) – 7:30pm M, 5:35 am T , 6:30pm W, 5:35am, 6:30 p.m. F, 4:15pm S 11:15 a.m.- Suspension training with emphasis on functional strength, improved flexibility, balance, and core stability! Xtraining Room
ZUMBA (BIA) – 11:00 a.m. W, 11:15am S - Have fun while working out! Latin dancing meets aerobics.

TBC (Total Body Conditioning) (BIA) 5:30 pm M - This exciting class utilizes a variety of strength training equipment to sculpt your body and gain total body definition. Exciting routines change each week, leaving your body
guessing and making your workout fun. Aerobics Room
20/20/20 (BIA) 4:15 p.m. TH– New combination class! Get the benefits of cardio, strength and toning, all in one
class. May include 20 minutes of Step, 20 minutes of Weights, and 10 minutes of Ab work.!
WOW (Women on Weights)- (BIA) 4:30 M Aerobic Room– Check out this new toning class. Uses free weights and your
own body resistance. Learn new toning and sculpting moves with Tracy.
CrossBurn (IA) 6:30pm T, 12:45pm Su– The ultimate core strength and conditioning program. This class is designed to improve Cardiovascular endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Speed, Coordination, and Balance.

Cross Training (I) – 5:45am W, 8:30 am W, 8:30 F, 9 am S, 12:15 SU - Interval style class utilizing step aerobics
conditioning, free weights, exerbands and balls to keep your workout energized and fresh. Aerobics Room
Dare to Prepare -PRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED (A) 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm T/TH An advanced level free weight training program to prepare you for bodybuilding/fitness competitions- OR JUST LOOK
LIKE IT!
Participants must preregister at the front desk. Fee includes a monthly class pass as part of the

Group Cycling/Spin (BIA) – 5:45 am, 12:15pm M/W, 8:30am, 5:30pm T/TH 12:15 W, 8:00am & 12:15pm F, 9
a.m. S, 12:30 SU- A workout that brings the fun and excitement of outdoor riding indoors for a calorie-burning
workout. Allow 5 minutes for bike set up, bring water. Spin 60 is a sixty minute ride. Xtraining Room
Kick It Up (IA) –6:30 pm M - This cardiovascular challenge combines aerobics, boxing, martial arts, and sports
drills to give great results. Aerobics Room. Will meet outside in the alley on Mondays, weather permitting.
Kick and Kettle (BIA)-9:40 a.m. W– Cardio Kickboxing and Kettlebell, a fat torching combo class for everyone.
Kettlebell (IA) 12:15 M, 12:15 W, - The ultimate functional strength training program includes cardio, strength and
flexibility training utilizing kettlebells to perform exercises that mimic real life activities. Aerobics Room
Rip and Ride 5:30 p.m. M . This class will challenge you with alternating weights and cycling to keep your body
guessing what’s next ! XTraining Room.
(BIA) 6:30am, 4:15pm T, 5:30pm W, 6:30am, 9:30am TH, 12:10 F - PILOXING blends the power,
speed and agility of boxing with the sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. It is a fat torching, muscle sculpting, corecentric interval workout, guaranteed to whip you into shape. PILOXING is the brainchild of Swedish dancer and
celebrity trainer Viveca Jensen. Burns 600-800 calories per class! Friday class is 45 min. Aerobics Rm.
Power Yoga (IA) – 5:45am TH. Traditional yoga with an emphasis on strength, toning and stability. Yoga Room
Plyo Boot Camp (BIA) 5:30 W. Functional strength training and explosive body weight exercise take high intensity
interval training to the max! Train for speed, agility and endurance. Small Gym

Pedaling for Parkinson’s™- M/F 10:50 am, W-1:45 pm-A group cycling class designed
specifically for persons with Parkinson’s Disease. Preregistration is required. Details are
