I hope all of you had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday with
family members and friends! The time off definitely went too fast, but I just
know that our next holiday break will be here in no time! Prior to our break,
the students have posted their opinion pieces on why it is cool to be them on
our class writing blog. You can access, and comment, on their writing, by
logging in with their name and using the password “wildcats” (no quotations
in the password). The students have definitely been motivated to see their
hard work posted online for all to see. The class will be visiting Santa’s
Workshop on Friday morning around 10:00 AM. A few weeks ago,
shopping lists went home for students. If the students need another
shopping list, please have them let me know, and I will gladly get for them
another form. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any
questions or concerns you might have. Have a great next two weeks!
To help the students become stronger writers,
we have used Grammar Graffiti in the classroom
to review each grammar skill we have learned
about. See if your fifth grader can share with
you the example they “graffiti-ed” with the class
for our latest grammar skills!
