Adverb
An adverb is a word which usually modifies a verb. It tells us how, where or when an action is
performed. For example :

She went slowly. (how)
*
She went there. (where)
*
She lost her necklace yesterday. (when)
There are different kinds of adverbs. such as1)
Adverbs of manner: Adverbs that tell us how an action is done are known as adverbs of
manner.
*
He talked to me benignly.
*
The wind blew gently.
However, some of adverbs of manner are similar to adjectives. The examples are*
Michael is a hard worker. (adjective)
Michael works hard. (adverb)
*
It is a fast train. (adjective)
The train goes fast. (adverb)

Adverbs of place: Adverbs that tell us where an action is done are known as adverbs of place.
*
Let’s go there. (adverb)
Some other adverbs of place are here, out , everywhere, somewhere, abroad, down, upstairs,
downstairs, below, away etc.

Adverbs of time: Adverbs that tell us when an action is done are called adverbs of time.
For example-
*
I will meet you tomorrow. (adverb)
Some adverbs of time are now, then, yesterday, today etc.
