Week 29 2013 Project - Southpoint Condominiums

SOUTHPOINT CONDOMINIUM
Project Summary
Week #29
November 18th through November 22nd, 2013
The 8-man crew worked as much as possible through heavy rain this week to progress on the
second phase of east elevation hollow-core panel excavations and parking garage beam and
column repairs.
Foam EIFS was installed on the north end walkway slab edges and trimmed to create a level
edge for kneewall construction. Embedding of reinforcing mesh with Primus cement-based
adhesive was in-progress on foam EIFS slab edges in order to prepare for stucco finish
application scheduled to begin next week.
The second phase of pre-stressed hollow-core floor panel repairs was in-progress on Units 108,
109 and 110. Forms and post shores were removed from cast back floor slabs on Units 107, 109
and 110 and post shores were remounted to allow for completion of floor panel excavations on
Units 108, 109 and 110. Forms were built and installation of reinforcing steel was in-progress
Friday in preparation for casting.
North corner walkway beam spalls were marked out by the engineer on the 5th through 2nd floors.
Post shores were mounted, excavations were completed and form construction was in-progress
Friday. Parking garage east column and beam spalls were also marked out by the engineer and
excavations were completed. Repairs with hand packed patching mortar were in-progress Friday
on parking garage beam excavations and are scheduled for completion early next week.
