Gemtour 12 Andersjöarna

Funäsfjällen
Goldtour 12
start location
Anderssjöarna - round
Beautiful lakes along a hilly trail in the magnificent
Swedish mountains. All dogs must be put on lead,
you are now in the middle of a area for reindeer pasture. We recommend mountain map as a complement.
Fjällparkeringen in Tänndalen. Signposted from road 84. Drive
towards Hamra mountains (the beautiful mountain with no ski
lifts) and 250 meters west of the ski bridge you see the sign
Fjällparkeringen on the right side. This is a private road, so you
have to pay to go on the road. Follow the way up to the parking lot.

Cozy and beautiful in a hilly landscape. Some times a year,
it might be mosquitoes here, so mosquito oil and extra-wide
clothes is to recommend. The last pond you pass on this
part, about 5 km, is Kringeltjärnen. A few hundred meters
after the pond, we suggest you to choose the orange marked
summer trail over Hamrafjället (the second trail you have on
the left hand). An alternative suggestion is to
choose the first path on the left hand, Räffsjöleden.

Andersborg
The tour starts at the treeline. Total climb about 300 meters,
200 is up over Hamra mountains (more options are available
below). The hikes leads mainly on dry ground, the wet parts are
often footbridged but boots or rain boots are recommended.
Walk the orange marked trail (later to become cross-marked)
which are footbridged up towards Andersborg, a little over 50
km altitude meter climb. By Andersborg, continue along the
cross marked points along the west side of Skarvarna to Svalåtjärn. This distance is about 5 km long and very beautiful.
You have Anderssjöarna on your left, Skenörsfjället straight
ahead and Skarvarna on the right. It is an easy walk but with
50 meters climb when you pass a comb from Stor-Skarven.
By the wind protection at Svalåtjärn take left by the crossroad
where several golden tours passes and continue the tour via
the trail towards Fjällnäs/Hamra. After about 2 km walk along
Skenörsfjället the trail will divide. Turn left towards Hamra.
The trail is footbridged and goes through the lakesystem.

hamrafjället
This alternative is described below as an alternative way
home. If you choose Hamrafjället trail you can look forward to
3 km hike with a ascent of 200 meters and a wonderful view!
In the valley winds Tännån, in the southeast the beautiful
Rödfjället and beyond Vättafjället the often snow-capped
Storvigeln. Here is the place where the muskox often graze
in the summer. When you have reached the top, take the
opportunity to enjoy the long view. The nature reserve Hamrafjället is known for its rich floral splendor. Approximately
400 species are listed, including many rare orchids. Lapland
marsh-orchid, common wintergreen, coralroot, frog orchid,
Oeder’s lousewort, purple saxifrage, Mezereon, two flowered
violet and snow gentian is common flowers you can see.
Nils G. Lundh has described snow gentian as: ”Mountains
most blue flower, it lights just as intensely blue as the bird
bluethroat. Besides the bluethroats are Redwing,Fieldfar,
Goldenpolver and Brambling common birds. If you are lucky
you might see the golden eagle. Continue along Hamrafjället
trail from the top down to Järnåldersturen and take to the left
towards Blomsterängarna (the flower meadows) and Andersborg and further to the right down towards Fjällparkeringen.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TRIP
A equivalent tour, but a little easier way back home after Kringeltjärn (but you miss the view from the top). Select the cross-marked/or
orange marked trail Räffsjöleden all the way up to Andersborg, and
follow the same path you walked out, down to Fjällparkeringen.
