document held by BVB.
Highlighted Points of Interest
-Parent Council paid for our Christmas Concert Stage which was $567.94. Funding must come out of our Regular
Account and was not previously voted on (considered a social event so it is ineligible for casino funds). Next year, we
need to have it pre-approved (it was missed in error).
-Discussed $384 for Buses for a Hitmen Game and it was determined that it was a part of our Casino Account bus
funding that we already voted on in a previous meeting
-AGLC said that Field Trips (if educational) can come out of our Casino Account eg: swimming lessons (the subsidies
can be claimed for this, technically Parent Council could pay for all lessons if we had the funds for it), skiing lessons, etc.
Funding for educational field trips still need to be requested and voted on at a Parent Council meeting.
-Presenters for the entire school or individual classrooms don’t need to be pre-approved by AGLC for Casino Account.
Again, they still do need to be voted on, however, at a Parent Council meeting
-The RAZ Kids license has been paid for already
-The Reading Race may still have more receipts to submit as it continues all year long (but will fall within the approved
funding guidelines already established)

CHAIR’S REPORT–NK
Child Safe
-Cannot do the Babysitting Course at the school until they have offered and ran the Home Alone course first (you do not
need to do one to do the other)
-2 lunch hours for $22.00 (vs. $42.00 at the Child Safe Centre)
-Must be close to age 10 and other kids inside the home strongly encouraged to attend as well
-A minimum of 15 kids (including siblings) for the Home Alone & Babysitting Courses
-We already have seen interest enough for about half of the requirement already

-The Babysitting Course can be done over 5 lunches or over the course of one day
