roof tiles. The striped timber boarding which speaks of a ‘Tudorbethan’ style has influenced the external cladding of the proposed building. N Materials Pallette: The hall volume part of the building we propose to be a traditional local brick type. We would like to introduce some brick horizontal banding to break down the mass of the volume. Clay roof tiles The striped ‘Tudorbethan’ design can be achieved by using fibre cement panels called ‘Cedral Weatherboard’ by Marley Eternit - this material has a coloured timber effect but will not require as much maintenance as a standard painted timber board (Cedral recommend repainting every 10 years). Any solid panels of cladding (e.g. coloured walls or coloured soffits) we propose to use an externally graded coated fibre cement panel such as the Marley Eternit’s Equitone panel range - these require minimal maintenance over its lifespan. A tiled pitch roof is more than likely going to be favoured by the planners due to the site sensitivities of the Conservation Area and Listed Building setting. 16-0196-CDP-DR-00-XX-A-2004-P7 Slate roof tiles uth So Proposed East Elevation | 1:100 Louvred panels for ventilation.
