We didn't just sit down at the workbench to develop
our new equipment. We spent a year interviewing tree

our interviews was “No plugs, please,” and as a tree

are expensive - at $0.50 apiece they add up to some

killer when they run out. If our new injection system
was going to be a game-changer, the plugs had to go.
DESIGNING A BETTER SOLUTION
To create a plugless system, we machined a stainless
steel tip that fits snugly into a 15/64" drill site. We
tested and perfected several prototypes before landing
on a design that allowed treatments to flow smoothly
into the tree's vascular system without damaging
the delicate tissue and, just as importantly, without

Barberry growth reduced nine months after treatment.
Twenty-five years ago, growth regulators were
a niche within a niche, utilized by large utility
companies to keep trees out of power lines but
largely ignored by tree health professionals.
Today, growth regulators are better understood,
widely used, and regulating growth is just one of
the ways they are benefiting trees and shrubs.
Cambistat® changed the game
in the early 2000's with a
novel approach to tree health
management, doing everything
from saving stressed trees to
keeping vista views clear.
Trimtect® greatly reduces
labor costs required to keep
shrubs looking their best.
Trimtect® meets your client's
expectations and gives you a
wider treatment window than
other shrub growth regulators.

GET THE JOB
DONE Right
with tools built for trees
The technological advancement of
chemical formulations have been
evolving hand-in-hand with the equipment used to apply them. It wasn’t
that long ago when all tree health care
application devices looked like they
were cobbled together from hardware store surplus. More application
devices are available today for tree
care than ever before, and are being
designed better all the time.
The first generation of tree injection
equipment was focused on getting
the treatments into the tree and
that’s about it. Devices today, like
the iQ™ Tree Injection Suite, are being
designed with the ergonomics, ease
of use, and safety of the applicator
from start to finish. This includes how
easily they are setup in the field to
how quickly they can be cleaned back
at the shop.
Tree injection is not the only application method that has benefited from
technological advances. Soil injection
probes used to only rely on digital flow
meters, which have their advantages
for efficiency but have their drawbacks in accuracy. Newer devices, like
the HTI 2000™, function similarly to a
hypodermic needle where a precise
dose can be administered every time.
Pneumatic tools like the AIR-SPADE®
are game-changing devices that open
up an entire world of soil and root
health services that are simply impossible using any other technology.
Although there are undoubtedly more
tools and knowledge available to
arborists now than at any point in history, arboriculture is still an evolving
science. Find out how these new tools
can make your job faster, safer, and
more effective for solving your challenging tree health problems.
Better science equals better technology equals better tree care.

The management of bacterial leaf scorch
focuses on reducing the severity of
the symptoms, as there is currently no
true ‘cure’ for this disease. A 3-pronged
approach of controlling the pathogen
with Bacastat™, applied annually in the
spring, reducing vectors with Xytect™,
applied annually in the spring or fall,
and mitigating drought symptoms with
Cambistat®, applied every 3 years, has
shown the strongest results.
Bacastat™ has also been shown to suppress
the symptoms of lethal palm yellows and may
be applied every 3 months. This treatment can
be applied though any of the devices in the iQ™
Tree Injection Suite.
