How does it work?
The Jowl Lift is a procedure in which specialised surgical
threads made from polydioxanone (PDO) are injected into
the skin using a fine needle. The threads are interlaced
causing a tension in the skin which delivers an instant lift.
The threads dissolve after 6-8 months. During this time
they stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and

FAQ’s
How does the Jowl Lift differ from other thread lift treatments?
There several thread lift treatments on the market. Some involve several incisions in the skin while others use threads with
barbs on them which keep them in place.
The Jowl Lift involves no incisions and the threads are not barbed instead they are interlaced delivering an instant lift with
minimal bruising.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is relatively painless.
What will my skin look like afterwards?
You may experience some mild bruising and tenderness at the injection sites.
What happens after treatment?
We suggest you avoid strenuous exercise or any activity that may increase the blood pressure for at least 24 hours.
How long before I see results?
Results are visible immediately and last up to 2 years depending on the individual.
What are the risks and complications?
All non-invasive procedures carry a small amount of risk which is why they are only administered after a face to face
consultation with one of our doctors during which a full assessment will be carried out and a full list of cautions and
contraindications discussed.
Is the Jowl Lift my only option?
No, there are several other treatments that may be more suitable for your skin concern including Dermal Filler Injections,
