Flat Pack Delivery Assembly Instructions
WARNING: To prevent the risk of injury it is strongly recommended that the assembly process
be carried out by two people as some parts of the couch assembly are heavy and can be
awkward to manipulate into position.
(1)
Carefully remove the couch parts from the box.
(2)
Lay the couch top assembly frame on its back so as to expose the underside frame work
of the couch. It is recommended that this process be carried out on a carpeted floor, or
on a blanket to safe guard the upholstery.
(3)
The head and foot frame assemblies are not
interchangeable, but the paper towel rail is.
Factory setting is to the head end frame.
Diagram 2
Simply insert the head and foot panels into the
main frame corner sockets as shown in
(diagram 2). Using the M8 x 15 Cap Screws (2
per end) fix the two assemblies in place by
tightening the bolts securely.
(4)
Accessory Towel Rail can be positioned at
either head or foot end of the couch. Reposition
the rail by removing one black knob, withdraw
the rod from the leg assembly and reverse the
procedure at the opposite end.
(5)
If you have purchased an Adjustable Leg
Height couch it is strongly recommended that
leg positioning be carried out with the couch on
its back. Simply pull the knob to release the
spring tensioned pin. Adjust the leg to desired
height, release the pin to secure the position.
Diagram 2 shows the legs at their lowest height.
(6)
Backrest Lock Assembly - It is recommended
that the couch be placed on its side, or on its
feet for this procedure. Place the locking rods
through the lock plates by raising the backrest
to a position that allows the rods to slide
through. Lower the backrest to a position where
the bolt holes are exposed. Fix in place using
the M5 x 20 cap screws and nylock nuts.
To operate take the weight of the backrest with
one hand, pull the release handle up with the
other. Releasing the handle will fix the backrest
in to the desired position.
WARNING do not use the couch
without axle stop bolts in place.
