Always in Our Hearts
Mary Elizabeth McAuley of Hendersonville, TN, passed away
Wednesday, September 3, 2015. She was 14. Born on May 24, 2001 to
parents Tommy and Rachel McAuley and brothers, Grant (18) and Griffin
(15). Mary is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tom and
Joy McAuley. She is survived by her parents, Tommy and Rachel;
brothers, Grant and Griffin; grandparents, Charles and Eben Appleton;
uncles, Tim McAuley, Jeff Vitelli, John McCoy and Rick Zampatti; aunts,
Susan High-McAuley, Robin Vitelli, Loree Vitelli and Susie Zampatti;
cousins, Jill and Anna Vitelli, Lucas and Avery McCoy, Anne Martin and
Sam McAuley. Mary was an 8th grader at T.W. Hunter Middle School in
Hendersonville. She loved going to school to show everyone what her
Mom had dressed her in. She loved all of her teachers, nurses and school
friends. Her legacy was her smile and her abilities; not her disabilities.
Mary enjoyed playing with baby dolls, going to the farm, visiting the
horses, laughing at her dogs, competing in triathlons, and watching her
favorite TV shows: The Andy Griffith Show, Little House on the Prairie,
and Cops. Mary was such a blessing to her family and everyone she met.
Lee Thomas Castrejon age 14 of Hendersonville TN unexpectedly passed
away on September 17th, 2015. Lee loved his family and friends very much. In
fact, those he loved most were the most influential in his life: his mom and dad;
grandma, Virginia; sister, Alyssa; church leader, Rod; football coaches, Coach
Bish, Coach Luttrell, and Coach Mash; and Mark Lalumondier. He enjoyed nature
and being outdoors, whether, in the country, in the mountains, or at the beach.
Cottontown held a special place in Lee's heart because it was the place where he
found peace and could "recharge his batteries." He liked to ride ATVs, work on
cars, hike, and play football. Collecting antiques was also one of his hobbies.
When lifting his spirit in his free time, he enjoyed listening to 80's Rock 'n Roll and
Christian music. Lee, though he was a young man, leaves us with a unique legacy
of compassion, modesty, generosity, and love. His favorite film was "Courageous"
and he could watch it over and over because he loved the very morals and
lessons it portrays. He, himself, had a strong sense of values and a beautiful
moral compass. He aspired to be a man of godliness and courage, and hoped that
his example would encourage others to do the same. He dreamed of joining the
U.S. Marine Corp and serving his nation by defending freedom. He is preceded in
death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Mosqueda.Lee leaves behind his
mother, April Burr; stepfather, Nicholas Burr; father, Lee Castrejon; sister, Alyssa
Castrejon; grandparents, Virginia and John O'Grady, George and Clare Burr,
George and Anita Castrejon, Marie Silva; great-grandfather, Robert Gonzales;
aunts and uncles, Ralph, Rachel (Kevin), Cindy (Ben), Katie (Shimano), Chris
(Nora), Josh, Danny, John, Chris, Eileen, Ronnie, and Terry; several cousins; and
best friends, Shyanna, Sean, Hailee, Azul, Christian, and Fallon.

Advice Column
Q. People are calling me nosey because I
try to help them. What should I do? A. Just
make sure that they are okay with you
knowing about their problem, and if they
don’t want your help you should just wait
and the time will come when they need
your help.
Q. I like somebody, but they like somebody
else. What should I do? A. You should
either tell them how you feel or just wait
and someone else might come along.
Q. My friend is a bully to everyone but me,
I need to tell her she is a bully but I don’t
want to hurt her feelings. What do you
think I should do? A. Tell her that she is
hurting people’s feelings, she may not know
that she is being a bully. Try to help her
stop bullying and just make sure that you
are being a good friend.
If you have a problem and you need advice
put it in the suggestion box in the library
You don’t have to put any names on it.
Movie Review
The Scorch Trials is the exciting sequel to the
Maze Runner. It is a thrilling, action packed
movie. Thomas and his fellow Gladers have
been rescued from the Maze, but what waits
for them is an even greater trial than the Maze
ever was. The movie is based off the book
series by James Dashner. I recommend that
everyone reads the books and watches the
movies. -Ellen Henderson
Music Review
“Watch Me” is great song by artist Silento.
The song also came out with its own dance
craze, The Whip. The song has a “party till
you drop” feel to it and makes you want to
get up and dance. It makes you happy and
when it comes on, it just makes you want to
Whip, and then Nae Nae, and then Whip. I
recommend you listen “Watch Me”, and try
to Whip, I dare you. –Atley Henderson
Restaurant Review
I really enjoyed eating at Taza Café. It is a nice
delivery place that will deliver to almost
anywhere in Hendersonville. They serve Italian
food. It is fairly expensive, but definitely worth it.
The staff there is very nice and flexible. Delivery
is very quick, it only took 45 minutes. The food
was still hot, and the presentation was lovely. I
got the chicken parmesan. It looked, smelled,
and tasted amazing. I would highly recommend
Taza Café. – Kendall Self
