The
Church of Christ
Living Out Faith by
Loving Like Christ
From L.A. to the Bay
printed on May 1, 2016
This year’s theme is “The Mission”, because we to help as
many as possible to experience an “Aha!” moment, where they
truly can connect with and confidently explain God’s mission to
live out faith by loving like Christ. The true meaning and
practice of faith needs to be restored, because the meaning
and
practice
of faith has drifted to becoming either ritualized or
reduced to intellectual and emotional belief.
We are living out common sense Christian faith, because faith
is not just what we think or feel. A saving faith is completed by
what we do. A saving faith is more than just accepting Jesus
or appreciating his sacrifice for our sins. Biblical faith is when
we admire and aspire to be like Jesus. Therefore,
our aim is to be a church of disciples who are completely
faithful in admiring and aspiring to love like Jesus.

services are at 15610 Crenshaw Blvd., Gardena 90249

Over the past few months, Isaiah Garcia and
his classmates from Jefferson Middle School in Torrance
have been training in the LAPD Cadet program with officer
Tony Newsom and officer Allen. They woke up extra early
and were out sweating to better themselves while most of us
were still in bed. Exercise was only a part of the Academy
experience as recruits attended eighteen Saturdays of
instruction where they learned about a variety of topics from
finances and health, to drugs and bullying. All are welcome
to Isaiah’s graduation on Sat, May 21, from 11 AM – 1 PM at
the USC Galen Center.
