In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming inc., Arizona Swimming Inc,
Prescott Swim Team, Inc., Yavapai College, and all meet officials shall be held harmless from any and all liabilities
or claims for damages by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this meet, which includes warm-up
sessions.

Course:
Indoor pool, 25 yard, 6 lane heated pool, Colorado Starting system with 2 button timing system.
Eligibility:
1. Open to any USA Swimming registered athlete who is registered as of the meet entry deadline
or USA registered swimmers training unattached with a USA Swimming club participating in this meet.
2. This is an ABC Time Standard – see AZSI ABC standards on Arizona Swimming website time standard page.
Rules Governing Sanctioned Meets

Age on the first day the meet will govern for the entire meet.
Conduct of the sanctioned event shall conform in every respect to all technical and administrative rules of USA
Swimming.
3. Swimming competitions shall be conducted in conformance with USA Swimming Technical Rules.
4. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in
performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member coach, it is
the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
5. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4) as to pool length.
6. The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article 103.2.3, is 8 feet, at the start end and 4 feet at the turn
end.
7. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other
designated areas is prohibited.
8. The Arizona Swimming Controlled Meet Warm-up and Safety Guidelines will be posted and enforced.
9. No swimmer will be permitted to compete unless swimmer is a member of USA Swimming. On deck registration is not
available at any Arizona Swimming meet.
10. The use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, restrooms, locker
rooms, or behind the blocks.
11. All referees, starters, administrative officials, chief judges and stroke and turn judges serving in an official capacity in a
sanctioned event must be non-athlete members of USA Swimming or members of other FINA member organizations. All
meet directors for meets sanctioned by USA Swimming must be members of USA Swimming. Except for coaches
accompanying athletes participating under the provisions of 202.6 or USA Swimming’s “open border” policy, all persons
acting in any coaching capacity in a sanctioned event must be a coach member of USA Swimming.
12. Officials and Meet Marshals must sign in and present proof of current membership and/or training respectfully, to the
Meet Referee prior to the start of each session of competition. If requested, Arizona Officials and Meet Marshals must
present their AzSI issued Picture ID’s to the Meet Referee
13. Coaches must sign in and present proof of current membership at the Clerk of Course prior to the start of each session of
competition. If requested, Arizona Coaches must present their AzSI issued Picture ID’s to the Clerk of Course.
14. All Officials, Coaches and Meet Marshals shall display their valid Arizona Swimming Picture ID badge in a visible
manner at all times. Meet Marshal’s shall wear their identifying vests.

Swimmers with a disability are welcome. The Swimmer (or swimmers coach) is responsible for notifying the Referee,
prior to the competition, of any disability of the swimmer and of the requested modification. The swimmer/coach shall
provide any assistant(s) or equipment (tappers, deck mats, etc.) if required.

Rules:
1. The host team reserves the right to limit the meet to 200 swimmers per session to control the timeline.
2. All events are pre-seeded, timed final events.
3. 500 Freestyle events will be swum slowest to fastest. Swimmers are to provide their own lap counters & timers.
4. Events are functionally seeded and scored separately by age group (8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15 & over)
5 Entry times must be the swimmers best Short Course Yard (SCY) times, or NT (no time)
6. All swimmers are limited to a maximum of FOUR (4) individual events per day and TWO (2) relays per day (may
be different sessions).
7. Relays are MIXED FUN relays. These relays are designed to allow small teams to participate and to get
experience. You may have all one sex, or a mixture of sexes in compliance with USA Swimming relay rules.
Swimmers may “swim-up” providing they do not go over the allowed number of events per day. Relays will count
towards team points. Please enter the relays when you send in your entry file. Changes in swimmers must be
submitted by 30 minutes before the start of each session.
8. No time trials will be offered at this meet.
9. Warm-up Lanes and times will be assigned 30 minutes before warm-ups begin.
Schedule:
Session I: Friday, January 8, 2016---Warm-up 4:30 pm---Meet Starts 5:15 pm
Session II: Saturday, January 9, 2016—Warm-up 9:00am—Meet Starts 10:00am
Session III: Saturday, January 9, 2016—Warm-up 1:30pm—Meet Starts 2:00pm or Warm-ups start
30 minutes after the completion of Session II if after 1:00 PM
Session IV: Sunday, January 10, 2016—Warm-up 9:00am—Meet Starts 10:00 am
Session V: Sunday, January 10, 2016—Warm-ups start at 1:15 pm – Meet Starts @ 2:00pm or Warm-ups start
30 minutes after the completion of Session IV if after 12:45 PM
Entries:
Entries are due by midnight, January 2, 2016. Paper entries will not be accepted. Electronic/Hy-Tek entry files or
compatible COMMLINK file must be emailed to Cathy Riviere at [email protected] by the entry deadline. If you
do not get a confirmation email within 24 hours after you send your entries, then you need to call 928-771-0592 to make
sure they were received. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Meet Director, subject to a $5.00 late
fee per athlete depending on lane availability up to 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. No new heats will be
created nor will any event be reseeded to accommodate late entries. Fees must accompany entries and are non-refundable.
Late entries without payment will not be accepted.
Entry fees:
LSC Surcharge $6.00 per swimmer $3.50 per individual event $6.00 relay fee per relay
All entry fees are due at the start of the meet and are non-refundable. Please pay for your entries with a single team
check made payable to Prescott Swim Team or PST.
Scoring:
The top 8 places of each individual event will score (9,7,6,5,4,3,2,1)
The top 8 places of each relay event will score (18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2)
Awards:
Ribbons will be awarded 1st through 6th place in the following age groups: 8 & under, 9-10. 11-12, 13-14, 15 & Over.
Individual High Point awards will be given for 1-3rd , Team High Point awards will be given for 1-3rd and Team Quality
High Point for 1st place.. (Quality High Point is taking the team points divided by the number of swimmer swimming
for that team). In addition, A and B Achievement Certificates will be awarded to those athletes achieving a first time
Arizona Swimming A or B time standard as listed on the Arizona Swimming web site time standard page.
Concessions:
A concession/snack bar will be available on site for all sessions of the meet.

An outstanding hospitality room with fantastic food and drink is once again available to all coaches/officials only.
