Born in 1857.
When I was 13 years old
I ran away on my one-eyed horse,
My future started to unfold.
Born in 1961,
I had no dream of glory.
My main education started in Sydney,
In a lovely little school called Monte.
Farming was my first love,
Although I made my name in trade.
When drought came to the land,
The farmers were dismayed.
In my later years at school,
I studied piano and composition.
I also succeeded in my work,
Plus all my tests and tuition.
And so I took a chance,
Purchasing farms for almost free.
I owned 68 stations.
Fortune was kind to me.
In 1985,
I started my career,
Conducting in the Opera House,
Began to free me of stage fear.
Today I am remembered
For the greatest cattle empire of all,
Bigger then Great Britain.
In history I stand tall.
Now I’m doing what I love,
Conducting every day.
Across the seas and in my home land,
My talent I display.

Born in Copenhagen,
I was the youngest child of
My mother, Ingeborg, and my father, Sophus,
Who were, oh, so very proud.
I grew up in Launceston, Tasmania,
My schooling was a complete failure.
Never did I know,
My future would turn out like so.
My younger life never mattered to me.
At the age of sixteen,
I ran away to Paris
Against my parents’ will.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough money,
So I had to cut my hair and sell it,
To pay for ballet lessons.
Once I’d become a professional at ballet,
I became a leading dancer,
And when I toured Australia,
I preferred it over Denmark.
In 1940 I established a ballet school in Australia,
And at the same time became a choreographer.
At the age of 46 I retired,
And travelled back to Europe,
I had accomplished lots in my life,
But it came to an end
When I died of cancer,
At the age of fifty-two.
In 1921 I advised John Flynn,
But I thought this idea would end up in the bin,
But he formed The Flying Doctor Service.
In 1920, I started my company,
My first million soon came to me.
The name of my company stands for
Queensland and Northern Territory Airline Services,
And I also founded Tasman Empire Airways.
I am the founder of a company,
You still hear of nowadays,
I have an animal starting with a K,
On my planes’ wings,
My initials are HF.

I was born in a place
Not far from here.
When I turned seventeen
I explored new land,
Enjoying the freedom
And taking in the glory.
I decided this was for me!
I could only just swim when I was seven
But alas, I found it absolute heaven.
I discovered the Murray
And Darling Rivers
And Lake Bathurst too,
The Goulburn plains as well.
All those explorations I did
Added up to my number one goalTo be the best
Explorer I could be!
The year that I died was 1873.
I had lived my life
Long and true.
I died in a place that I had discovered.
Yass it is called,
I remember it well.
When I was fourteen I was a great swimmer
But everyone classified me as a beginner.
I went of to the Olympics in 1998.
Everyone had misunderstood I was actually
really great.
I’ve been World Swimmer of the Year four times
And haven’t committed any crimes.
I like to eat hash browns and space food sticks
And I don’t just swim for the kicks.
When I was little I was in a swimming squad
called the Jet Boats
And after I was famous, I was sponsored by
Uncle Toby’s Oats.
I have a charity called Fountain for Youth
And I was one of the world’s best swimmers
And that’s the truth.

Because of this feat
I was awarded the Victoria Cross.
I had a wife and 3 children,
And I liked to walk and watch cricket.
I retired from my job in 1966,
When I was still in power,
So I would be remembered by Australians
As the best at my job.

When I was just a little girl,

I took my talents to Shanghai.
They showed me how to rhyme and they showed
me how to dance.
Born in 1935,
Only eleven days after Elvis,
I was destined to be a ‘Rock n’ Roller’.
I had a sister, Anne, and a brother, Barry.
Our parents were Ray and Thelma.
While at school, I was always close to getting ‘DUX’.
I quit that job as soon as possible,
And moved on with a lovely man to London.
London was great.
It was the place to be
But I had to go back to Australia,
It was the place for me,
I shipped my son to boarding school
When he was only three,
I know it sounds rough
But it was the right thing for me.
With the Dee Jays I brought rock music to Australia.
I turned professional with the Dee Jays in ‘57.
This made us Australia’s first ‘Rock n’ Rollers.’
I played jazz, and then ‘the blues’,
I also impersonated Johnnie Ray.
Adults were shocked by my music.
In ’58 I released The Wild One.
A year later I released Shout.
I took over the Six O’clock Rock TV Show.
My designing label was such a great success,
It’s still popular today.
But people still know me for my gruesome death.
I died in 1977,
Born in 1899,
Bludgeoned fiercely and fatally,
Until I broke my spine.
In ’78 I sadly passed away.
