EVENT PROGRAM
13:00∼18:00
There have been many attractive technologies developed in Japan that have supported the country s urban
system. As the first step to raise awareness of the importance of energy risk control, as well as to explore
practical opportunities among all ASEAN countries, this seminar will the first of many future events where
participants will share, discover, and collaborate around the topic of Energy Risk Control Technology.

technology
Nuclear powered electric generation is currently crucial for
sustainability: to cut CO2 emissions and to mitigate fossil fuel
depletion. Human caused disaster in Japan and the most
recent examples of safety management technology for
protection from external factors will be discussed.
Similarly to Japan, Southeast Asia has a scattered landmass
where the introduction of renewable energy will be effective
but costly. Monitoring techniques to prevent failure will be
discussed and a centralized monitoring system for wind
turbines, which development has started to shift toward
offshore development, will be introduced.
