ENGLISH
Q1. Read short stories by Ruskin Bond, R.K Narayan and Vishnu Sharma like Blue
Umbrella, Malgudi Days, Panchatantra etc.
Write the titles of the stories read and write the name of your favourite character.
Q2. Find out 15 new words from the stories you have read. Find synonym and
antonym for each word.
Q3. Find some classic recipes of cuisines around the world. Write recipes of any two of
your favourite dishes and try them at your home with the help of your parents.
Also, draw/paste pictures of the ingredients used and label them.
Q4. Let’s become story writers. Try to build a short story using the following
beginnings:
Once, I was going back home and I saw….
Once there were two puppies Blacky and Brownie…
Once I saw a poor man who needed help….
OUR SURROUNDINGS
Q1. Visit a nearby dispensary and learn more about the various first aid techniques
that are used to help someone during a medical emergency. Observe it carefully.
Now make a first aid box to be used in case of emergency at your home. It should
contain:
1. A bottle of antiseptic lotion
2. A roll of sterilized cotton wool, bandages
3. Band Aid, burnol, a pair of scissors and medicated tape
4. Oral rehydration solution (ORS)

Q2. Our house is our shelter. It not only protects us from bad weather and stray animals
but also provides us rest, peace and comfort, so we must do things to keep our
house clean. Write and draw any ten rules of cleanliness that we must follow in
school to fulfil the school mission: Clean Campus, Green Campus
Q3. Make a project file on the country mentioned against your roll no. on the staple
food of that country and write its nutritive value. The project file should have
minimum 5 pages with illustrations. Decorate it according to the theme of the
country.

Q4. Take proper care of your health, exercise daily, drink plenty of fluids, do regular
