POKER WORKOUT WEDNESDAY #001 OPPONENT What Would You Do and Why? Charlie DESCRIPTION: Charlie is a middle aged man wearing a polo shirt and a Nike baseball cap. ATTENTION & FOCUS: Charlie seems to be following the action at the table pretty intently. We observed charlie sitting up in his chair multiple times to better see showdowns that he wasn’t involved in. TIME AT THE TABLE: 1.5 hourSTAKES: $2/$5 PLAYER STACK: $650 YOUR IMAGE: You have been at the table for 2 hours and have played 5 hands all not going to showdown. If your opponents are paying attention, they should understand you are a standard tight and agressive player. YOUR STACK: $740 OBSERVATION #1: In the first hour of play, Charlie had run his stack down to about $300. He did not add chips to his stack and is now sitting at about $650. OBSERVATION #2: Charlie folded his small blind in a pot where 4 players limped before his action. OBSERVATION #3: Charlie raised two limpers while on the BTN to $30. The flop came Js 6h 5h . Both limpers checked and Charlie bet $50. Only one limper called. The turn came the Ad. The limper checked and Charlie checked behind. The river was the 3c and the limper checked again. Charlie checked his hand and showed down the Qs Qh for the winner. OBSERVATION #4: Charlie limped in MP and called a $20 raise from a LP player. The flop came and Charlie checked. He then called a C-Bet of $30. The turn came the Kc and Charlie Checked again. Charlie folded to a turn bet of $75. OBSERVATION #5: Charlie limped UTG. There were 3 other limpers and then the BB raised to $35. Charlie folded. THE HAND: It folds around to you in the HJ and you raise to $20 with the Td Th . Charlie calls the $20. The flop comes Ks 9c 2h . You bet $25 and Charlie calls. The turn is the Ah . Action is on you. QUESTION: What would you do and why?
