The University of Arizona, in partnership
with Cox Communications, presents the
3rd annual Connect2STEM—a familyfriendly event celebrating Science,
Technology, Engineering, Math—and
Medicine. In 2016, the event drew more
than 5,000 children and their families!
100+ tables of hands-on science activities including:
Be a STEM news reporter and broadcast live from the Cox Gig Zone
Watch Da Vinci surgical robot demonstrations by general surgeon, Dr.
Jennifer Preston
Try your hand at the surgical robot timed contest and win a prize each hour
Challenger Space Center interactive planet exhibit
Wildcat Play Hospital features an operating room with talking mannequins,
teddy bear checkup and a photo booth complete with youth scrubs and lab
coats
Hop aboard the Physics Bus and win cool prizes
Touch real space equipment from OSIRIS-Rex, the mission to bring back
pieces of the asteroid “Bennu” to earth
Meet University of Arizona’s Wilbur, Wilma and Cheerleaders!

REGISTRATION ENCOURAGED:
The event is free. Attendees are encouraged to register online to be automatically
entered to win an iPad Pro and receive discounted parking.
PARKING INFORMATION:
Thanks to our generous sponsors, The Boyer Company and Standard Parking, all
attendees who register will receive $5 parking ($7 off) in the Phoenix Biomedical
Campus Garage which is located at the southeast corner of 5th Street and Fillmore
(entrances are on the south side of Fillmore and the east side of 5th Street).
Parking will be $12 without registration. Registration for the event is free. Parking
