Tell us a bit about yourself
Hi, my name is Fred and I'm the current MYP for H&F. I love baking and I have tried
baking a whole range from bread to bagels and then even cakes and tarts. I also enjoy
acting and I have been in a whole range of plays, performing at theatres such as RADA
and Riverside. I love a puzzle especially my Rubik's Cube which I've solved in 52
seconds (But not fast enough) and I'm now branching out to the 4X4X4 and the 2X2X2.
I hope to study mathematics at UNI, but eventually end up in a political career. I love
most types of music, but especially The Wombats, Bastille and Train. I used to play
tennis, but now I have moved into badminton and handball fives. My favourite food is
Italian and I could eat pizza and pasta all the time.
What is your unique selling point?
My USP would be my organisation and problem solving. These two skills are incredibly
important in a PG since you are looking for ways to ensure the best result for all. I
therefore want to be able to come up with creative ways of dealing with problems
ensuring the London region is able to benefit as much as possible along with the other
regions. In addition to that organisation is incredibly important since I will have to take
on a new workload with PG, but I believe that my time management will be used to
ensure that I keep on top of all my work and put UKYP and my PG role as a priority.
The final reason that I believe I am right for the PG role is my love for UKYP and all the
work it entails and I will push to share my love of UKYP.
What are the key issues that you think are important for the Procedures Group to
look at next year?
1. The Big Vote- I want to push for more time allocated to the Big Vote at the
annual sitting so that we can go and leave with a set of policies meaning more
people can have their voices heard and giving us a more diverse range of
policies.
2. Sharing- I want more time during meetings in order to network and share with
each other about best practice for campaign's without the pressure of speaking in
front of the whole group for those who don’t like the pressure. This will build
teamwork making us a united London.
3. Approachability- I want to ensure that D/MYP’s find me approachable so when
need assistance I can make sure they get help ASAP, or if you want me to come
to one of your meetings I will make the greatest effort to support you, the
backbone of UKYP.

I love to travel! Who doesn’t? Cities or beaches I can never make my mind up. Love
geography and sociology. Emails and messages are checked several times an hour and
avid social media user. I am a good leader and work well as a team as well as
independently. I like to help people as I am understanding and a good listener. I am an
honest person and always happy to talk. 
What is your unique selling point?
Commitment. I am very hard working. I often get excited about new projects and
campaigns which is why I end up working on them till late at night! I cannot and will not
sleep until emails are sent or any work is completed. I will never miss a meeting or
deadline and I am dedicated to helping people. There are lots of opportunities given to
MYPs by UKYP and BYC, I would use my commitment and enthusiasm to make sure
people are actively using the most of the opportunities given to them.
What are the key issues that you think are important for the Procedures Group to
look at next year?
1. Awareness – UKYP London has been doing so many great things and it is
important to make sure that everyone knows what we are doing. It could be a
UKYP London newsletter or making sure people are aware of the ‘Positive
Stories’ and make sure that MYPs contributing actively.
2. Development – It is important for everyone develop personally as well as the
organisation. Variety is important too because it ensures people can engage in a
range of things. I would like the PGs to look at how we can include MYPs skills
even more to help us continue developing.
3. Communication – Whether it is a social, joining other boroughs meetings now
and again or making best use of the time we have in conventions with other
regions. To help improve communication between everyone I will contact every
London D/MYP regularly and help to organise cross-borough meeting if MYP’s
feel this would help.

Post A-Level Student achieved A*ABB at A-Levels and heading to Medical School
2015, so quite interested in maintenance of health. First got introduce into youth politics'
by chance due to my curiosity- now in the deep end I relish debating when it comes to
youth politics' and current affairs.
What is your unique selling point?
An effective networker and integrator; my most successful attributes, play a important
role especially for a PG setting. Bring forward collective minds, ideas, concerns to a
central department with man management skills allowing the maximum productivity from
all members of the London region!
What are the key issues that you think are important for the Procedures Group to
look at next year?
1. VOTES FOR 16S (need I say anymore)
2. Due to monthly meetings being scraped previously, it has been changeling
keeping informed on other borough progresses in local and regional campaigns
so look into ways of maximising networking within London boroughs.
3. Keeping slightly closer tabs to make sure all MYP potentials are fully reached! in
terms of writing to MYPs, slight extra reading etc..
Muraad Chaudhry, Hounslow
Tell us a bit about yourself
The funniest thing about me is when I was born; I came out wearing a blonde wig and
miming to don’t stop believing. As a baby my first words were not “mama” but were
“Maintain the integrity of internal democracy.” At the age of 3 I had already supported
my nursery friends in the formation of sub-regional divisions. In infant school I saw
myself being elected as playtime minister, campaigning for the diversity of toys available
for us to play with. Joking aside I don’t claim to be the most interesting individual from
the London region. However, I do claim to be the most reliable candidate for PG this
year.
What is your unique selling point?
I show commitment in whatever I take on. This is evident in the way I have attended
more meetings and events than any other member of Hounslow’s Youth Council. I am
easily approachable and friendly. I aim to spend as much time visiting Youth councils in
London just as Rhammel did and I will help MYPs work better and smarter by
organising regular sub-regional meetings for London Boroughs.
What are the key issues that you think are important for the Procedures Group to
look at next year?
1. Disappointed at not being able to vote on motions at the Annual Sitting? As your
PG rep I’ll consult with London about this - one radical suggestion would be a rethink of the size of the Manifesto – do we need one with 100+ points when we
generally campaign on one National Campaign and our local issues?
2. More meetings – there should be more sub-regional meetings and I pledge to
bring boroughs together. I will support D/MYPs and our stressed and hardworking youth workers by booking rooms, arranging meetings and explaining
clearly the benefits of these meetings to all London D/MYPs.
3. As UKYP’s profile rises we run the risk of losing the diversity that has made us
unique. As your PG I will make sure that all of London’s youth can aspire to being
an MYP, specifically promoting UKYP to young people in care, those from
deprived socio-economic backgrounds and those with SEND.
