After all, it helped the common consumer to have confidence that the food and medicines he or she used were actually safe. Yet, some students may disagree. They may feel that, while the practices of the Meat Packaging Industry were unsanitary and many drugs were simply fake, still, it was not the government’s role to monitor such matters.
