t._ Relatives Attend Ordination ·. Rev. Michael Anthony Jones, son of Judge and Mrs. Woodrow • W. Jones,- of Rutherfordton, was ordained a Baptist minister in a ceremony conducted Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the Longview Baptist Church in Raleigh. Rev. Jones is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Phelps of the Lillington area. The Rev. G. Van Stephens, retired Baptist minister, issued the charge. Judge Jones presented the Bible to his son. The Rev. Robert Costner of the Raleigh District, presented the certificate of ordination to him. Those attending the ceremony from the Lillington area were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Phelps and Marie, Mrs. Lester Dawson, Mrs. Sirena Byrd, Mr. and Mrs. Hill MurchiSbn Jr. and Edward and Scott, Mr. and Mrs. John Wester and little Trent, all of Lillington, Mrs. Pearl Ferrell and Mr. ~d Mrs. Phil Thompson of Raltigh. Following the service, the families went to the K&W Cafeteria at North Hills where they enjoyed a delightful meal with Rev.
